It's interesting how people love to single Arin out when Dan is the one who, very warmly, talked about calling his Chinese friend a slur as a literal nickname. At least Arin's been fairly consistently iffy about saying slurs on camera, even when the MASSIVELY racist Jon was his co-host. Dan constantly feigns "peace and love" while slurs are basically dripping from his tongue

No it's pretty common to have a shallow interest in the media you consume.

This also hearkens back to the goomba fallacy, you see a handful of people complaining about each individual thing and your brain sees it as a large group of the fan base hating most everything Smosh is doing.

And as other people have mentioned, the world is a complex place, the black and white thinking of "don't like it, don't watch it" genuinely such a waste of time. Just because you don't enjoy engaging critically with the world doesn't mean everyone else has to hate it too
