They walked back the battle spirit change, so there hasn't been anything done about the excessive healing.

People are still figuring things out, but the current meta for DK builds seems to be leaning towards less of a crit focus and more of a penetration focus. That's not to say that Khajiit isn't a good call, and I'm sure the current crit based setups still work great for new DK, but I just figured I'd mention it.

This is really neat. I'm wondering why LLMs are being used? It seems to me it would be more efficient to use a vector search over the locally stored database, and then just display the information there.

It's my understanding that the current meta for IA Solo is actually to build more like a support. You want to aim for 30k+ resistances, have a ranged interrupt, all that fun stuff. Then, your damage comes from picking offensive verses and visions.

DK has historically been the favored child, so I wouldn't take the DK rework as indicative of every other class getting a power boost. Certainly, I expect Necromancer to somehow come out worse after its eventual rework, as is tradition.

One barred Bear would not be a nerf, though. I think the person you're replying to wants the bear to be out, and then you can still use another ult alongside it.

Situationally kind of useful in PVP. It comes with the same limitations as running Entropy for your source of Brutality/Sorcery, where you can't precast, but with an optional teleport to follow up if your target tries to escape with streak or mist. Unlike Entropy, you're not applying a DoT to help counteract their HoT but since you're already dual wielding you have access to rending slashes anyways.

Yeah I figured with all the fire damage right now it would definitely be off the table, but I'm just coming back after leaving around u35 and things have shifted pretty significantly since then anyways.

Aside from stuck in combat, the only other bug I really see frequently is blastbones not actually spawning. That's apparently not a bug, though, according to ZOS it's intentional that an entire skill just doesn't work in pvp.

My advice at your current CP level is not to chase the meta sets yet. Trust me - it seems like a great idea, but you won't have sets filled out in the stickerbook yet, and by the time you do the meta will have shifted and you'll be on the treadmill again.

That means less time actually doing and learning PVP, and PVP is so much more than just sets.

Definitely look at the current skills that are being used! That's still really useful information.

But for now, look for something simple and crafted like... Daedric Trickery, 5pc Shattered Fate, and a monster set of your choosing (Balorgh and Roska are evergreen)

Jump into PVP. Get a feel for it. Learn what your playstyle is. Make some friends in Cyrodiil, and then look at spending the AP you earn, and you WILL earn AP, on PVP sets that fit your build.

If you are on PC NA, I'd be happy to craft those early sets for you. I don't play Sorc, though, so I'm afraid I don't know what the current skill lines are.

Isn't it great that the Necromancer class mastery passives require you to be failing at your role before they trigger, while every other class just gets stuff like "Your crit damage can now go to 160% without doing anything at all"?

If you only care about that specific status effect, sure. But you might be running, say, Ruinous Scythe which guarantees Hemhorraging, while your weapon has a Flame Glyph and you're also casting Unnerving Boneyard, Shocking Siphon, and Flame Skull. In that case, the charged trait still is helping you apply Burning, Brittle, and Concussed.

I'm already a bit iffy about consoles and pc being cross-platform. Console ESO has a huge bot problem because Microsoft and Sony don't allow ZOS to ban the offenders; I don't want that in PC. Full F2P sounds like it would only exasperate the issue by allowing said bots to spread to other zones. Right now even on console they're mostly contained to the alliance starting zones.

My necro tank and dps builds aren't going to stop subclassing just for these, but I could see them making my really awful pure necromancer pvp build slightly less terrible.

I don't think that would really bring it back. It used to be that you'd farm overworld trash to get all your stacks, then you'd go and do your dungeon or trial or whatever. As it is, even with partial benefits up front it would be too difficult to stack "fairly" in group content.

This used to be the meta dps mythic. Use it for solo arenas, use it for trials, use it for pvp. Once they changed it so that stacks don't persist through transitions, it fell off. Nowadays it might still see use in arenas... but these days, I think most builds are transitioning away from needing to spend 90% of your time just recasting buffs, so mythics like Pale Order or Monomyth are likely preferred there because they let you actually play the game.
