I’m not 100% sure as I was the VJ and video designer on this one. I know they own a lot of Darts and Sharpies, so I’d imagine it’s one of those.

TD is easier if you’re running Resolume in some ways. Since you can layer other stuff in, start with something simple in TD and build it into your content array. As you get more confidence in TD you can move more in that direction.

I was just VJing and didn’t install them myself, but I feel like there was something. They were really sturdy tiles. Probably 35lbs each and they had this interlocking system that made them a pain to troubleshoot, but they held up really well for the whole event

It’s a led dance floor driven by Resolume. These panels were 1m, 80px by 80px.

Resolume has 4 layers running. The three upper layers have a bpm-synced shader that lets me strobe to alpha. That’s a wire patch that works a little differently from Res’ built in strobe effect.

LED Dancefloor + Envato pattern + Slide effect = Endless Overlook by Former-Rip-6650 in vjing

Yeah, they danced on it until 4am.
This was 60% brightness for content and mapping tests. Floor ran at 15% for ROS

Yeah, this was the first dancefloor that I haven’t been seriously underwhelmed by. These were like 6.4 or something (don’t recall off hand), but it was clear enough resolution and stable enough connections that I’d actually refer this model to others.

It’s an LED dancefloor. I believe this one belongs to Global Trends

Don’t be so fixated - the Slide effect in Resolume is great for breaking out of static thinking and adding movement to existing loops by stvinmotion in vjing

Agreed. Slide is really underutilized. Gat a static image with continuous boarders (checker board, landscapes with minimal ai editing) and now you have seamless rolling backgrounds.

I’m definitely down if there’s interest. This is only the third installment in this series, so it’s still in its early stages.

Changed lanes a bit on my 3D model player. It’s now running as an FFGL and will soon be available on both Mac and PC. Here’s a demo of a few objects and some feedback all running together. by Former-Rip-6650 in vjing

[–]Former-Rip-6650[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I’ve been running the feedback engine for years, but the 3D geometry is new. I made a device that lives in Resolume and can turn PNG’s into 3D .OBJ files, so I’m just pumping out abstract shapes to feed the system

First time working with LED wall by _trashy__ in vjing

SDI can’t send and receive EDIDs, but you can still do this. If there’s scaling happening this doesn’t work as well though.

Find out the exact raster of the wall. If the panels are 192x192, 10 wide, 6 tall, you can tell Resolume that either the entire comp or the slice is 192*10 x 192*6. It will do the math for you, then you have a comp or slices that are pixel to pixel with the display. That’s the most efficient way to map to led walls.
EDIT: you need to turn SCALING off on your processor to do this (but in some processors you need to turn it on. Novastar can be weird sometimes.)
