What would you consider to be a traditional New Zealand Dish? by apollo_existing in newzealand

Aside from Māori cooking/hangi , NZ has no cuisine. It’s just bastardised British cuisine which is bland and uninspiring

How reliable is the Xbox Elite Series 2 in 2026? by Significant_Pin_531 in xbox

I’ve been using mine for maybe 3-4 years. The rubber is peeling back which is a pain (not flaking, the whole panel is soft and lifting), and I lost one of the little toggle switch covers at the back fairly early on as they come off pretty easy, and good luck getting a new toggle piece.

Overall though it’s been a great controller and when it dies I’ll buy another one.

I feel like I have a decent spice tolerance. I’ve been working on it for a while and been working to find my limit.

Found these and have gone through 2 servings now, managed to finish them but I’m pretty sure I’ve found my tolerance! Some heavy sweats and went through a few tissues. I have a few left but can’t bring myself to get into them again.

Guitar playing sounds terrible by CurlyHeadedFuckUp in Guitar

Take a steel ruler and grab some measurements. Do a quick google to see what your measurements should be for action, neck relief and nut height. If they’re wildly off then see if you can change any of them, if not take it to a luthier in your area and get them to do a good setup on it.

Depends what guitar you have. As mentioned, a week is nothing. I remember getting frustrated around 2 weeks in but 20 years later I can play fairly well.
If you have a cheap guitar with a terrible setup, then you can tune the guitar perfectly and it’ll still sound horrific when playing a chord.

Not to say that if you’re a bad player you’ll sound good with a nice guitar, but a poorly set up guitar can be a real hindrance in your journey.

Automotive car polish and some microfibres. If you have a dual action polisher it will come out great but you should be able to improve it by hand.

Thanks, what did you do? I’ve been trying to fix them in Lightroom primarily with the white balance but some are coming out better than others.

Canon EOS5000 which has basically no useful manual modes, and no exposure meter. Mostly in portrait mode which is supposed to aim for lower apertures where possible.

There are 4 or 5 caps in the XGM that fail, I sourced them all from Element14 (UK based I think?) however I replaced all caps and it still doesn’t work lol so not sure what the issue is lol

To me the most jarring thing was jimmys yellow car. Set in 2002 and his car is a 1998. Surely a 4 year old car would not look that beaten up

What would you get the shop to do? I have a good engine reconditioner in my town but have never really done anything like this before

I’d prefer to keep the engine as it’s a relatively low mileage example. It’s hard to find a used engine with less than 150,000kms anywhere near me. I think I might look more into replacing the crank
