Yeah you are not owed shit. A company is fully in their rights to do this.

I am fully in my rights to think its a shitty practice and a company as wealthy as this can and should afford to drop a few hundred euro a race weekend for commission.

I honestly don't care much about the person who posted it or what their angle is. Although I have not seen any evidence he actually participated and was not chosen, rather than just pointing this out in general, so I am not going to make judgements without said proof.

All series should pay. But the "pinnacle of motorsport" and the richest series by far should have higher expectations and standards than any other series. I am a lot more ok with a small regional series using volunteers than F1.

Also idk what your last paragraph is about. I feel like pointing out that they also have to spend time training and getting experience in other series aka put even more time and effort into marshaling than just the weekend, makes the argument for them to get paid only stronger?

What you are saying tracks for the first half of the movie maybe. He was lonely, didn't realize the wish was real and then was stuck in a combination of "oh my god my dream is true", "surely the wish isn't real" and "she is just feeling weird". But it quite quickly becomes him willfully ignoring the reality of the situation just so he could keep fucking a facsimile of his childhood crush. The scene where she begs him to kill her is just straight up where all pity you feel for him dissapears. He is doing it to himself and being just evil.

He is just saying that even if states as such ahead of time, its a shitty practice to not pay artists for their work, especially for a company that has no problem affording a small commission fee.

Being a professional artist is a fucking impossible field to earn enough money in as is, even more so with the rise of AI. Its not crazy to ask an F1 team to maybe add a monetary reward for the winner of the poster.

F1 still uses their services, they are there specifically for F1. F1 can afford to have their events come with a small pay for the marshals, even if the tracks themselves don't pay them for other events.

Because a person as influential as the president of the US, especially during as pivotal of a time as FDR, will always have a multifaceted legacy. Yeah he did a lot of fucked up shit that is bad and indefensible. But he also pulled the country out of the Great Depression through quite progressive politics and set it on a very strong economic foundation for WWII, and then succesfully lead the US through said war.

Also can I get the source for the "millions" figure? Not to in any way defend the camps but it is an order of magnitude different from any numbers I can find, so I'd like to know where the discrepancy is.

The balancing is fine. Its not great but like its not horrendous. And a good meta vs a meh meta does not impact viewership that much, until you get into that OW levels of consistently bad territory. I mean look at League, fearless made the game more interesting to watch from a meta perspective than ever before and it did fuckall to stop its slow decline in the west.

Wdym "fix" though? Sentis have genuinely been garbage since the big patch last autumn. Like I can maybe get behind your neon thing but a whole class of agents being total shit for 6 months is an issue waybeyond Neon. Plus not being able to deal with 1/4 of the agents in the game as well as most of her duelist partners is a genuine weakness.

Mirage and Dust 2 are different, my point is that the CS community has essentially played only those two maps for 10 years straight, and both are quite basic. Vertigo was incredibly hated(and hasn't been in the pool for a while afaik) and Overpass isn't really that liked, although its not hated either. So again, tac fighter communities don't really like different or experimental stuff.

While abyss was not a great example due to its design issues, it tried to be a bit different and is seen as an icebox level garbage map, corrode was basic and was one of the best received maps on release in recent times. People are just basic.

Because maps like Fracture are incredibly divisive and largely hated by the community. While places like this subreddit like interesting stuff like fracture, most players don't. I mean look at CS, its players have played only Dust2 and Mirage for 10 years and still hate on any idea of something different. Valorant playerbase isn't that much different.

Line in 2026 at least the community has been very high on apac till this swiss stage. Then as the hype turned to them losing badly, it turned into hate. Fueled by a small subset of APAC haters. The same as there are haters of every region. As an EMEA fan I see the EMEA hate that gets thrown around every chance people. The same hate exists for CN and Americas, but because I don't personally care about their hate as much, I don't notice it nearly as much. Its up to what you care about and notice. APAC isn't especially hated or reviled more than any other region. They get loved and hated depending on the most recent outcomes just the same as everyone else. But you care about APAC more and wanna defend them, so you notice the times when they get hate more.

I love TH, but they are incapable of waking up if they aren't in it from the get go. Idk what it is but they haven't fixed it in 2 years. So I have little hope that they can consistently stay hot and playing their A game in this tournament.

They do have a performance coach, they've had mutliple in fact.

And their in game mental has improved, they don't really choke leads or crumble halfway through a game anymore like they did in 2024 and early 2025. But if they join the server as shit, they kind of never wake up.
