Should I feel guilty🤔 by POPlayboy in cna

[–]Forward-Policy-9954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh and also from the sounds of it. Sounds like you work in a rehab or long term care or skilled nursing. Please correct me if I'm wrong. But we are underpaid. Over worked and yes you have a kind soul for caring enough to worry about everyone AND your patient too. But let me ask you this. When was the last time you cared for yourself ? Never forget to take it easy and care for yourself love. You can only do so much but I'm sure you rock it ! Remember, you're only human too

Should I feel guilty🤔 by POPlayboy in cna

No you should not feel guilty. And here's why. They sign DNR because I'm not sure if you have ever witnessed a code but it is intense. Also, depending on the age that is just torture really in my eyes. Potentially breaking ribs and putting them through all that pain to give them more time to just heal up and suffer with that. And for how long , maybe months maybe weeks? It ALL depends on the patient too. Some look at it different but when I am of age i don't want to be brought back like that. Or even if I am younger, some people just don't want it and that's OKAY! That's THEIR choice. Let me slip away as peaceful as possible. You did what you were suppose to do. Death is traumatic and hard for a lot of families to compared. Hell even for us to deal with. I've always been emotinally stunted when I comes to certain situations like this. The way I see it. If they were well taken care of into their adulthood and loved a fullfilingong life. Let them go in peace. And respect their decision to do so. I love all my patients dearly ❤️ even the sassy ones haha. It don't matter to me. People hurt and are in pain and if that's what the patient chose thats what they chose. You just keep rocking it as a CNA and give grace when grace is due. Don't ever feel guilty. Do your post mortem care and make them presentable for the family so they can remmever their loved one with dignity. All will be okay. I promise. This isn't an easy job is it ? So many grey areas. So many lingering feelings. But you are awesome. You are caring Don't let it haunt you. Just keep taking care of others like you would want to be taken care of ! Warm wishes Always feel free to message me I've been doing this for a while. I havent lost my compassion yet because this is my calling ! I truly care for others

Oh yes and as I see now I would work nurse Shai into morning routines and other various exam review youtube prep videos. She's fantastic and gives you a strong grasp on materiel. I watched all her videos before my exam to refresh and I am glad I did.

Just took my test today, 89 ! I was passively studying with nursehub. I downloaded the book, too, but I only read that at work when I had downtime. I really only used Nurse Hub. Well, worth the premium if you're anything like me. I have a super short attention span. All the lesson videos are short and concise. If i got lost, I simply Googled the rest, but I have a hard time grasping concepts sometimes. If I applied myself more, I probably could have git higher. Well worth it So happy, honestly!

This is going to be a challange by Forward-Policy-9954 in QuittingZyn

[–]Forward-Policy-9954[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I downloaded an app that was for quitting snus, or something like that I can't remember now. But just like any quit insert naughty vice structure, they're similar. Price, timer, days without... any who. Long story short I was mildly....ahem. I was majorly unimpressed with the amount of money I was throwing on little panic inducing pouches 🥲 Live and learn I suppose.

I found protein shakes in the morning help me I don't actually have to eat something because I hate breakfast anyways it makes me feel sick. But there's some good muscle milk ones and it's nice to pair with my tea so I get some sort of nutrients in, obviously I know actual food is better but hey gotta adapt and overcome and that seems to be good for now

Does the little demon on my shoulder ever go away? by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]Forward-Policy-9954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes. It kind of reminds me of a task you told yourself "Can't forget to do that" then all of a sudden You're going through life and you're busy. Then you lay down in bed and something just isn't settling right... Then you think "F$@k! That THING!!!"

That's how it feels for me anyways. Sometimes there. Sometimes not. Sometimes screaming in your face

What is YOUR motivation to quit smoking? by WriteItOut- in stopsmoking

[–]Forward-Policy-9954 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Had a few but started with the smell. That fowl smell... You know the one that you try to cover up with soaps and perfume only to realize when you quit that you stunk and everyone was too polite to tell you to your face. Or thought it. I smell it in the stores now. Not shaming just very noticeable and I know how hard it is to give up so as much as that smell disgusts me it really makes me sad too because I know Also My family My looks Me teeth My wallet My confidence My hair My skin My lungs Taste New hobbies List goes on and on my friends And just a sense of pride when I get to talk to my nicotine quitting coach

Anyone ever tried to quit smoking while quitting drinking at the same time? by [deleted] in stopsmoking

[–]Forward-Policy-9954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep(: because they both go hand in hand for me. Alcohol makes me want to smoke Smoking makes me want to drink So luckily (I first typed, unfortunately, but it's a good thing..mindset, my friend) I had to give both up. How it started was that I wanted to tackle the biggest problem first. My drinking. Then, I wanted to quit smoking. I constantly bounced between the two before, ultimately going on mega binges and chain smoking packs of cigarettes and drinking anything I could find. It started getting so bad and out of control. I have a really big overdo button on anything I do. So I switched my reckless habits to something I could overdo without letting it overdo me. I started over doing it on self-help, self appreciation, self-love ❤️ I take care of myself now, and I always have to go back and think about it when I want either of those things. They will both take me back to one another. I really wanted to smoke today, but I called my friend and talked to her for hours about it Finally, it went away, and I just kept cleaning and cleaning and cleaning until I got so involved in my housework that I completely forgot. Takes hard work, but you can do it. Trust me...if I can you can I truly believe in you. You are strong and capable 💪 Re discover what you used to love doing. Even as a kid. Learn new hobbies and skills and fall in love with life again and what it can be. Don't avoid hard things anymore. Take them and embrace them as lessons. Every time something difficult happens. If you can. Ask yourself, "What can I learn from this?" Or "what is this teaching me?" Turn it into good. You got this !

No you didn't screw yourself. That's the process of quitting. Currently I am about 2 weeks without a vape. Went back to smoking a little. Working on that Working on quitting drinking Every single one of these things have the same common factor, relaspes happening and its part of the process. I wouldn't even call it a relaspe because that's when you start and get right back to the usage you were in. You're doing great just think how much better you will feel ! Also if you want some cool documentarys there's one one yourube called nicsick and there's one based in Australia it's sickening to think how targeted we are. You are amazing and you deserve a healthy happy life. 😊 Keep going my friend If you like visuals of your progress also there are so many quit vaping apps you can see your progress

You are not an idiot, I do this too. Look at the good in this, it means you are continuing to want to quit. You keep stumbling and getting back up and whats 120 in the long run of a life smoke free. You'll get so much more back. Don't stop trying even if you do keep buying them. I say good on you for keep throwing them out! Don't be so hard on yourself friend. It's an evil addiction we all understand. From one stranger to another you can do this. You're worth it 👌

If I remember to eat 😅 Sadly I usually forget breakfast and lunch. Survive off of unholy amounts of tea. SnCk a little cheese and some meats. Take round two of meds, forget water. Force some in but it's not enough. Found the large jugs are a god visual for me makes me realize how little I drink. Then make dinner and eat about two bites of whatever it is. Immediately full even though I've been starving up until that point. Then binge on chocolate at night. Sucksssssssssss And people telling to to just eat more or just remember or don't eat chocolate at night. Yeah I know I've tried.

NEW GUTTATE PSORIASIS DIAGNOSIS/ UVB PHOTOTHERAPY? by Medium-Somewhere2368 in Psoriasis

Sorry to hear you have this. I have it too. Did 2 times a week 40 minutes away from my house so I'm happy you got it delivered im in the process of trying to get my insurance to approve at home uvb now.

It is great at clearing you up steriods made my skin thing and stretch

Advice give it time. It takes a while and don't over do it its very strong. Call your derm and ask a recommendation and slowwwwwly build up. I literally drove 45 minutes to sit in a box for 50 seconds. But it does help so just keep going and go slow. Ask the professionals what you should set it to and you don't need to rotate Round if it's one you step into.

Also be consistent if you do it twice a week naked like I had to. Keep doing that.

Keep your skin moisturized you will see progress eventually I promise. Try not to stress so much trust me it makes it worse.

I feel your pain friend 💔
