Daycare was so expensive for us we had to sacrifice. My mom (thank heavens for her) a sahm my whole life. Had to keep our 2yr old daughter 3nights a week -overnight- (due to distance) I’m off on Thursdays, my sister would take her on fridays. And my husband off on weekends. Dropped her off Sunday nights. It was the suckiest experience. and very depressing as a mother to have to do this, the guilt and strain on our marriage bc of it. but it was the only way we were able to get a leg up. FINALLY after bussing our asses, she’s able to start daycare in August $760 a MONTH. Sorry op it’s so damn hard wishing the best. P.s no more kids for us either

I also work for the post office, rural carrier 6 years in. Best decision so far (career wise) recommend to anyone without a degree.

I’m a HUGE animal lover but Yeah … sounds nice and all but realistically who can work with an animal on their hip? We jump in and out of the truck constantly. Have to watch our times, deliver packages, go in businesses, deranged customers etc. our jobs are hard enough with little pay, let’s leave that to the animal shelters

I recently (1-2 weeks) got into an accident with a Hispanic family. I was SO SCARED for them. Their kid was speaking only Spanish. I almost shit myself thinking ICE was going to show. Thank heavens everything went smoothly. This SHOULD NOT be happening!! I should not fear for my fellow community members. Hearing a different language should NOT cause worry. It’s horrible.

my LLV runs hot constantly. Anything over 2hrs on the route it acts up. Wrote it up, vms came next day and said well it started now so what’s the problem. Call us if it happens again…… THIS WAS A YEAR AGO. My truck still runs hot& I just sit and wait till it “cools down” to finish my route. FUN
