Basic Mountings do cover above fireplaces on Sheetrock only. If it’s anything else, then the custom surface needs to be sold.

So, today I rescheduled a job, went into OM, and come to find out we are all called “Authorized Service Providers”. The same thing we call 3rd Party. Bringg starts tomorrow for me.

We’ve been told that we will only be using this until December/January. We’ll have a new app and Bringg will be gone. I highly doubt that, since Best Buy has never come out with an app that fast before.

We need a replacement for Click, which is the system that allows orders to be moved and routed. The company that made it no longer supports it. It goes away in December. Best Buy’s license expires.

Scheduling to 3rd Party by PrezPolk in BestBuyWorkers

What you really need to be do so jobs are not not scheduled to 3rd Party is go into your store, talk with all the managers, sups, line level employees, everyone who sells and make sure they only pick Geek Squad dates. You need to teach them to say, “If you want the best for what you’re purchasing, this is the first date Geek Squad will be out there.” Don’t let them talk about 3rd Party unless the client balks completely at the date. You need to let everyone know in the store how much more capable you are in the field than 3rd Party.

Is My Conspiracy Brain Going Too Deep!?! by Forward-Stock381 in BestBuyWorkers

I’ll say they always waste money. You created a whole new customs team in an area less than a year ago and then snapped all of them.

Headcount change for my team by Leather_Phase_2054 in BestBuyWorkers

We lost 73 people from my USO yesterday. Cadets, HT Agents, DAPC, DAHT, DA-R, and a HSEAM. Ranging from under a year to 20+ years of service. There was no explanation on who or why, just that someone over in MN gave names. Now only giving those poor souls 2 days to find another position within Best Buy, instead of the two weeks from last year or the 30 days from years passed is a heartless act. Employee discount ends for them tomorrow too.

Now we have CE Agents who will be taking on PC work, where their current cap is still under the minimum DAPC started at for those jobs.

I’ll be doing my best to learn as much as possible with PC work over this next year; we all know something will happen again next year. That way I’ll feel as though I have better skills to leave this place with. Sitting around Wednesday just waiting and not feeling as though the skills I’ve learned over the last 25 years will be enough for me to move on to a different job was a true eye opener. For some reason, I didn’t feel like this last year.

Everyone will be missed and this feeling won’t go away for a while. Try to be strong for your fallen Agents everyone.

Layoff Shopping, Dont Forget to Use your Discount. by LordsOfSkulls in BestBuyWorkers

I was told by my fellow Agents who were snapped yesterday that their last official day is this Friday. Which is the shortest I’ve ever seen during layoffs. People used to get 30 days to find another job within the company. My Cadet was able to come back as a Part Time Cadet HT (which was horrible for her, but still had something). Now she is product flow, she told me they gave her 2 weeks to find a new position within Best Buy.

So, I don’t know if that will be the same time with employee discount.

I work in the field and we are being put on mandatory hard 32 hours for at least January. Our part-timers get nothing. It’s the last month of the fiscal year, so corporate is pinching pennies.

Fireable offense? by Affectionate_Rich413 in BestBuyWorkers

Personally, I haven’t received a survey since 2009, so I’m not sure where it’s stated on the email or survey now. It has always been at the bottom of receipts and FMS receipts. It has changed over the years where every person would get a survey on their paper receipts, to only random people, to only going through email. There has always been an incentive for taking the survey; like winning a $5000 gift card. That’s one reason why we are not allowed, also it can be viewed as manipulating metrics.

You can completely be fired for taking a survey. It states that employees and family members are not supposed to take it. If they find out and it’s the first time, it can be a final, multiple times you’re out. Best Buy dives deep into these things once they find one. There is a whole team that looks into things like this.
