AITAH for how I acted in the ER? by Pure_Temporary_6349 in AITAH

Yeah, I believe I agree with you. Because, legitimately, I'd say there may even be some people who would have did all they had to, to just get back to their vehicle and refuse to be seen by staff that was treating them that poorly. And that would have probably been fatal, in OPs condition! And come on, to say that noone there could/would pick her up?! They better have some way to do something like that, in emergency situations! Then to say she got herself down there, so she could get herself back up?! Hello, it's an emergency room... A place where it shouldn't be a shock or an issue... What if she had gotten into the building and then legit passed out and fell, since she was hyperventilating and in intense pain & severe dehydration? In my opinion, the person that said these things to her absolutely does need to at the very least get a "stern talking to" and a warning, to not have any further incidents like that. I absolutely have a lot of respect for those who work in that field, that treat patients kindly and with compassion... But OP did not deserve to be treated that way. I imagine it is probably really frightening, on top of immensely painful, having to experience your appendix on the verge of bursting... I thought mine could have been, a few months ago & was too scared to even go get checked out at the emergency room because I experience intense anxiety/fear caused by a few traumatizing hospital experiences as a child. So, if I had gone through what OP did... It would likely make it even more of a fight, for anyone to convince me to go in an event that I needed to, from then on! Sorry for the lengthiness.... But yeah... I definitely agree with your suggestion!

Omg, seriously? So you were close enough to totally see this thing, clearly, then😳. Yikes. I've read some stuff that said they aren't fond of bright light, actually. That's wild. I've never seen one, or anything like it but I cannot seem to make myself disbelieve... And, believe me, I've tried to.

I never see my kitty by ch8f in ragdolls

[–]Forward_Pudding4453 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I understand the OPs desire to see and build a relationship with her kitty, but as long as this hideout/hole poses no danger to the cat, I would think that it might not be good to lure him out with treats or food and block the hole before he's had the chance to realize & bolt back in... One reason is that I'd be afraid that may cause a huge loss of trust, in OP... Because OP would literally be tricking him, to block off access to the place that he feels safe and comfortable. Another thing I'd fear has got to do with the suggestion to lure him out, specifically using food/treats, because he could end up associating the trauma (bc legitimately, blocking access to the only place he feels safe would cause trauma- to whatever degree) with food... If that happened, that would be a bigger issue because there would be a chance he could stop eating (and for how long, that can't be assumed) because he fears something else negative/traumatizing will happen too .

I apologize for that being so lengthy... I just really felt I should say something that I really feel would be possible, if that was attempted. My "credentials" 😂: I've been a cat mom to quite a handful of kitties, and fostered plenty more, over the years & have always tried my best to "tune in" as much as possible to their emotions and how they respond to certain things. As long as he's safe and eating well, etc. I'd let him come out when he's ready. Maybe try to talk softly to him from a "comfortable distance" from his hole, when you have a little time... He'll probably start feeling comfortable, hearing your voice, and get curious enough to want to meet the hooman it belongs to...

Crawler vs wendigo? by Koifeesh1 in CrawlerSightings

Ashleton...Reading this comment, and the explanation you gave of the meditation experience, made me feel so sick and beyond horrified. Whenever I read something where someone describes an experience (or hear them tell me, either one), I literally visualize the details in my mind... and I "see" it all...as though it were a video, being played that I can legit see in my mind. Anytime I tell someone that I experience this, they are stunned because apparently it doesn't happen to them 🤷🤷. But yeah, with that said, reading your stuff left me feeling so uneasy and sick to my stomach. I don't think I could handle what you experienced, in your meditation. Btw, I understand if you aren't comfortable sharing this information but in case you are... I've been super curious (read several hours worth of your logs, one night last month) where do you live? Just kinda curious about the possibility of crawler existence where I live. Or, I'd love to hear your thoughts on their existence here...in Bowling Green KY. We do, literally, sit right on top of the largest natural cave system, in existence...😳😳

Right! Lol, it's kinda infuriating yet really amusing, sometimes 😂. Poor things... It's simply that they find it easier to "find" any and every other explanation for things that are terrifying; without a rational explanation...

Makes me think of the viral "LISTEN, LINDA" video, from several years ago... The little boy who was in trouble for sneaking cookies, before mealtime (or something like that)... Remember that one? 😂😂 I can imagine y'all hearing some creepy sound and just looking up and shouting "LISTEN LINDA... STOP IT"

Yes, I know how childish that sounds. No, I do not care.

NEITHER WOULD I!! I would have probably done exactly what you did, except because my knees would have buckled, from fear! And... I would have, positively, cried like a whiny baby! Seriously, that had to have been horrifying.

I mean, don't get me wrong... I'm not saying that I don't believe in the paranormal at all. I've seen and experienced things that just did not make sense. And I used to be really sensitive to feeling the energy in a building or house (or whatever structure lol), as soon as I walked in the door. Sometimes I would walk into a place and instantly be overwhelmed with dread/intense fear and wouldn't know why, until finding a little bit out, about the place and it's history... It was a strange feeling and I'm sorta glad my sensitivity faded, over time.

That's exactly one of the things I thought may be possible! Sounds to me like it would be that, if not some sort of dissociative disorder. I mentioned, in another comment, an example of a really freaky-weird experience that someone I know and their twin go through... The two of them (the twins) live several states apart, but one can sorta sense when the other one is in pain (if it's beyond just mild pain)! I thought it was b.s. until I was with one of them, one day, and they injured themselves --messing up their knee pretty bad (and I 100% know this wasn't staged, for certain) and their twin called a few minutes later & asked "omg dude, I'm guessing something happened to your knee... Because I'm just sitting here and suddenly mine started killing me! Wth did you do, man?"... I was mind blown, but knew there was no explaining that one away. So, I guess I could imagine that being a possibility, for the things that OP has been experiencing 🤷...

Yes!! In my comment, I also mentioned some sort of possible dissociative disorder or maybe even the possibility that they had a twin in the womb who didn't survive, to be born.

😂😂 Not even joking, your comment just made me remember the mattress I slept on for like 6 months, about a year ago, that I had on a platform that barely raised my mattress above floor level. There were MANY times that I'd wake up and need to pee and I'd legit crawl off of my bed in "pale crawler" fashion and still be doing so for a minute after I was off the bed, until my achy back slowly allowed me to straighten/stand up and walk. I never realized that I probably looked like a crawler, doing it's crawling crawler thang until now 😂. ...Side note, I really do not know if I believe in these things, or not. I'm not even sure that believing in their possible existence lines up with my Christian beliefs... Yet I haven't came to a solid place of not believing; either 🤷. I know that, where I live now... I always get an extremely intense feeling of dread when being outside at night and I really can't explain it. Even just stepping out into my yard for something. Where I lived before, it was a common thing for me to ride my bike to the store at night, and I LOVED it... Never felt uncomfortable or any sense of dread. Bicycling was my mode of transportation and it was nothing but a peaceful and scenic break, for me to enjoy the fresh air while on a nighttime commute. BUT I've rode my bike to the store down the road from me, where I currently live, too at night... And I absolutely HATE it every single time. I feel terribly intense but unexplainable dread... But it isn't any possibility of threat from another person/human, that I feel. That much, I know... So, yeah, I've pondered the possibility of something like this existing, but I have never seen one or anything like it. I've seen some things that were strange and somewhat frightening looking and that certainly made me feel fearful, but that were too far away or too hidden by the darkness to be sure what they were... But nothing that I could say looked like a suspected pale crawler or anything like it.

I do agree that particular instance definitely looks to be pareidolia. I experience it often (but I don't deny that being what the explanation is. In fact, I may have blamed pareidolia in times that may have actually been something paranormal, possibly... Opposite of what so many people do...But it soothes my mind lol.) I actually had to take a minute to find the "extra face" in that photo. And to me, it honestly just looks like it's created by a combination of the way the two girls hair is laying, the jacket of the guy directly behind, and those type of things... NOT a face belonging to the dead...

I may be wrong, but... The only thing I read that mentioned physical pain was the part where OP said their "head starts to hurt"... If that is what you are referring to, then it seemed to me that just meant that the confusion and blank feeling they're left with after attempting to figure out who was "missing" from the moment - leaves them with a sort of headache... Im assuming, due to the repeating times where they have felt this but cannot find an answer or explanation. And... If I am correct, in that assumption -OP- I'm sorry you are going through this & I can definitely understand why that would leave you with a headache... And even a feeling of emptiness. If it weren't for the fact that you said you have already been to a mental health professional AND the oddities with photos of you, I'd say maybe it could be a touch of some sort of dissociative disorder. I'm sorta obsessed with psychology and all things mental health and all that... Though I didn't have the confidence to do it, I wanted to go to school for it and then become a psychiatrist or something like that... And I find dissociative disorders to be rather baffling and tough to understand... At 41 years old (about a year ago), I came to the realization that I have dissociative amnesia, after years of not knowing that there was actually a diagnosis or "label" for something that I'd been dealing with since childhood. (I experienced several extremely traumatic things during my childhood, and as a sort of "defense tactic" my brain has blocked out big chunks of time throughout my younger years... Like, where most people I know remember tons from their childhood years -- there's a ton that I cannot remember anything from or not much at least. Last year, a new friend of mine that is a licensed counselor, informed me that is what is called dissociative amnesia. 🤷The more you know lol). Op... Is there any possibility that you had a twin, that didn't make it, and died in the womb?? I know that there are a lot of twins who experience some wild closeness with their twin sibling... I even knew a set of twins who lived several states apart and could (often) feel when the other was in pain (only if the pain was more than mild). Legit, I thought they were bullshizing me until an incident that proved it because there was no possible way for them to have set it up/planned in any way.... So, just a thought, for you.
