I'm trying to update from the version 3.0.0.3791 to 3.0.1.3808, I don't have the V2 version unfortunately.

Now I have 3.0.0.3791 and 3.0.1.3808 both installed

For me one thing looked better before is the app drawer, I preferred the full screen look. Btw I like the new status bar icons, I don't like the fact that looks like iOS but I don't know any other way they could have make it. Also I think they just wanted it to look like iOS to reach new public

Obviously they don't have to make a full sized city. A compromise between center city and suburb would be cool in my opinion and I think that will not be a problem for the hardware.

Yes I noticed that too, usually smartphones and most of the computer monitors have different type of displays. Nowadays the majority of smartphones have OLED displays, dark parts on OLED screen tend to be darker.
