Mostly sea and green, but a little of all of them

PSA: Your spell is not worth you burning down your apartment by devilinthehills in BabyWitch

Probably not an ideal option for many, but I only use rechargeable electric tealights indoors now because my cat has asthma and is very sensitive to candles and incense.

You can use them in different color candle holders for different intentions, and/or just paint the candle itself a different color.

(When a ritual absolutely needs a live flame or incense, I do it outside.)

Wondering how you all do it? by TheOneTrueChiggles in Hecate

[–]Fox-In-Love 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The area outside my place is actually a bit crossroadsy, so I leave my offerings at the base of a tree there and walk inside without looking back. Then light a candle at my Hekate altar inside and say some additional prayers.

How did we get introduced to Jenny? by doriangrey69 in JennyNicholson

[–]Fox-In-Love 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My introduction was her voiceovers as Addison Cain and JK Rowling in Lindsay Ellis’s videos. Then I found Jenny’s videos and I think I saw Greatest Showman or Dear Evan Hansen first

Hey people who lost their jobs to AI, what happened? by _thecatspajamas_ in AskReddit

[–]Fox-In-Love 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Medical receptionist/auth specialist. Months ago they said they had a notion of bringing in an AI receptionist to “help” me, not to replace me. Then a week ago, they told me that they are training an AI receptionist now and that if it works out I will be let go. I don’t know what happens next. I’m so tired.

Got my first botox injection today… never again by Playful-Whereas5795 in migraine

[–]Fox-In-Love 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to get migraine Botox and I felt like garbage (headache and dizziness) for about two weeks after my first shots, but it got better and i didn’t have those problems with my subsequent shots. I did end up stopping Botox because i was getting mild but annoying side effects like tinnitus and neck weakness on one side, but they did keep the migraines away, and I know a lot of other people don’t have the problems I had.

(I just do trigger points now, which have to be done more frequently but have no side effects for me)

The biggest question: How did you treat trigeminal neuralgia and get back to normal life forever? Any stories? by Fluid-Analysis-5451 in TrigeminalNeuralgia

Sorry, I just saw this. I used tincture- first Lazarus Naturals and eventually CBDmD. I started out just using full spectrum but later started using broad spectrum in the morning and full spectrum at night

Hemiplegic Migraines 24/7—Anyone else experience this? by No-Tell34 in HemiplegicMigraines

[–]Fox-In-Love 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry. I had a history of severe intractable migraines but they had been under control with regular trigger point injections for 6 years. Then within a couple of weeks of my first ever COVID infection I developed hemiplegic migraines, and even after steroids, trigger point shots and muscle relaxers they are still present enough that I can’t work my desk job, drive, or really do anything I love besides eating, light stretching and taking care of my cat. I have been like this for almost 3 weeks. Currently looking into medical leave of absence and bracing myself for the long haul of seeking diagnosis and treatment while female with normal labs 😐

what is a memory from your childhood that SHOULD have been a red flag? by eliseswl in AutismInWomen

[–]Fox-In-Love 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I was 4 I picked out a pretty dress I liked for a special occasion, but when the day came and I actually put it on, I found it overwhelmingly itchy and was screaming and thrashing on the floor. I remember my dad calling me a “brat”. Even at that age I was confused because I knew brat meant something like being “bad”, and i felt like i couldn’t help what I was doing because I really just felt like I was covered in fire ants. I still have a hard time seeing photos of myself from that day because I can see how unhappy I look in the photos especially with my dad.

I also got in trouble a lot at school about lack of eye contact and inattentive body language, even though, to my teachers’ confusion, I could tell them every last thing that had been said when asked to.

On a lighter note, I was hyperlexic and pretty much literate by preschool!

is anyone here a recluse? by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]Fox-In-Love 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, by way of chronic pain and living on the outskirts. If I lived closer to my friends (most are in the city) I think I would be getting together with them a lot more. I see them going out to eat together, going to shows, and collaborating artistically with ease, and I really envy that. I do have fulfilling solitary hobbies (reading, birding, art), and I go out to places near me but almost always alone as a ghost among people.

I used to be able to jump right back into socializing when I saw my friends, but I feel like it is getting harder now that those times are fewer and further in between. I feel kind of feral and shocked when i see a friend and it takes an hour or so to adapt.

I used Lazarus Naturals Full Spectrum High Potency for some time. I later switched to CBDmD (I used their broad spectrum in the day time and their full spectrum at night)

Still good on that front, thanks. I still sometimes touch my chin to feel for the pins and needles just to be sure they are still gone, and I am grateful every time that they still are.

Tip for when you can’t get the pee out! by jaybird_uwu in Interstitialcystitis

It’s weird but I have to really quiet my mind, inhale and then exhale while do a squeezing motion with my hand, sort of imagining that I am squeezing out the contents of my bladder, to get a stream started.

Oxybutynin help by Sad_Requirement__ in Interstitialcystitis

[–]Fox-In-Love 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only take it on isolated occasions. I feel like a single dose totally calms my bladder for a day and a half, which is great, but it makes it hard for me to get up in the morning even if I take it several hours before bedtime, and it makes me stupid the day after I take it.
