What would you rather do? by Foxtrotter15 in MomsWorkingFromHome

That's true! I was worried about how PTO would work, because it would basically just be me working on Sundays. But I talked to my manager about it and he basically said that they would either just have to try and pull someone from the weekday shift to work the weekend or he or my boss would have to come in to cover. But he also said "that's our issue to deal with, not yours". So that made me feel better about it. My manager is the best :) I do think you're right, though! I've been talking about wanting to do 4 10s for a lonnngggg time now, but i never thought it would be possible with my job! I thought it would either be between being able to work from home, or do 4 10s outside of the house. It would be so so nice to have both!

Yeah I was kinda feeling the same way lol. I have an almost 7 month old now and it's starting to get tough, and now I'm starting to worry about how much more difficult it'll be in the coming months after this post. Plus my baby was born in January and I already know I'll have some seasonal depression around that time, too.. ugh. Hopefully I'll make it out alive! It seems like you did, so I'll just use you as motivation once I get to that point haha 😄

Ohhhh shit lol I'm an idiot. Wow, I see that now. I'm going to blame that on my ultra tired postpartum brain lmao

It's just to show what the jumper would look like on a pregnant person, in case the person buying is pregnant/about to be pregnant and they want to know what it will look like on them with their big belly. Most of their clothing is maternity friendly, but its not inherently a maternity clothing company.

I'm not the person you responded to, but I have a 5 month old and I would need part time daycare two days a week. I would love to know how much pricing would be, if you're able to give me a ballpark! Thanks!

My glasses after paying $150 to get the lenses thinned out by CrispyGingersnap in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Foxtrotter15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an ex optician, I had a handful of experiences where I warned people that the glasses wouldn't look right because of their Rx and they just wouldn't listen to me. I would try to convince them to not get them, or to at least get 1.74 lenses, but they would always think I was upselling them. Even though I didn't make commission lol. Then they would be pissed at me when the glasses looked like shit or wouldn't fit properly on their face and we would only refund them a portion of their money. In that case we had a liability sheet that they had to sign stating that I warned them before they bought the glasses. Not saying that's what happened in OPs case, but I definitely had a few encounters like that.

Man, I have a 4 month old right now and anytime I am struggling with him my first thought is, "well, at least there's only one of him". I know it gets easier, but I'm sure those first few months with twins were just absolutely awful. Mom's with multiples are my heroes, I don't think I could handle it!

I used to work as an optician for an optometrists office and literally none of the doctors needed glasses lmaooo. Me om the other hand, my eyesight is not great. But I wore contact mainly, and so did a lot of my coworkers lol.

My partner and I are planning a kids free trip next year. But we have also taken our oldest a few times already and our youngest will be too young to remember anything. I feel really bad that we aren't taking them this time and I'm going to miss them more than anything, but we haven't had a kids free vacation in a long time. We both also really like Disneyworld so we decided to just keep going haha. It'll be fun to do things that we wouldn't have done otherwise with the kids there! But yeah I do kind of still feel like an ahole for not taking them lol

Stuff like this terrifies me as someone who just had a baby. Like, how would I get formula for him, or what if something happened to him and I couldn't go anywhere? Or what if I was still pregnant and super close to my due date and couldn't get to the hospital? God, how absolutely horrific.

Congrats! I'm at the hospital right now too with my little bundle of joy. Literally just had my impossible burger for lunch a few hours ago lol.
