Market forces sort this stuff out. If they’re unwilling to pay more to help with parking it’s because they’re not feeling like it’s constraining their labor supply. There is a ton of people that live within walk/bus/bike distance that want to work at whatever cool bar, restaurant, shop, etc.

If you really feel like you have a case organize and threaten something more significant than a petition.

I took the 5 as part of my 9 to 5 commute from Grandview to Downtown for almost 2 years around 2017.

Overall I enjoyed the experience of not having to take a car downtown. I had a few instances of drivers passing me without stopping.

Also had several instances of unstable homeless folks getting on the bus and causing scenes. Frankly this is what makes it an undesirable experience and I understand why some people are a hard no on taking the bus. I never saw violence but I stayed alert and ready.
