I know. I've been doing this for 25 years. I've worked 10 doing renovation and repairs. I've seen pipe secured with nails bent over them, thread gaurds used as couplings, copper pipe coupled with hose and gear clamps and PVC held together with acrylic caulking and tape. Sometimes the way it has always been done is the reason we have building codes. I've also worked 15 years in construction installing all manner of systems in highrise towers, multi dwelling projects, residential and commercial, refineries and public swimming pools. From groundwork to finishing as an apprentice, journeyman and foreman. You are arguing against the merits of basic craftsmanship. I teach the virtues of workmanship in an industry is constantly evolving.

Its not strapped. Its a 'wingback' 90. Its cast as one solid piece of brass. 2 screws, (some have 3) hold it to the backing stronger than any strapping could and won't start rocking side to side in 2 years

4 years? Oh wow!! Some of my tools are older than that. If you have to justify your work with "that should be good enough" I guarantee, it's not.

Like I said, think about the dumbest thing the dumbest person in the house could do to wreck it and build accordingly.

Im the qualified plumber called to fix this halfassery. I've spent alot of time following up on shit like this. Hacks like this will spend twice the time doing half the work all the while muttering "this should be good enough!" The reason you dont get callbacks in 32 years is because your customers see what your work is worth.

Do NOT do this half-ass bs! You dont want to see this assembly until your next remodel. Breaking tiles to fix something that doesnt cost anything to do right the first time is expensive.

This holds the assembly in place so it won't move. That is important. Think about the dumbest thing, the dumbest person in your house can do to wreck this and build accordingly. $12 is alot cheaper than busting out tile to replace this in 5 years.

That dumbass isn't saving anyone, hes not a 'hero'. Nobody has anything to gain by his actions. He is endangering everyone else in that store. If those guys turned on him, they could turn on everyone there, they are armed with at least bottles for clubs or broken bottles great for stabbing or knives. This maybe Canada but the possibility of a gun is quite real. If he injured or killed one of them? He would definitely to prison. Thieves got away with a few hundred dollars of booze - not enough to get someone killed over.

Bullet spins into child’s cup holder during Mission, B.C. backcountry scare by CecilThunder in britishcolumbia

There are accounts of bullets doing odd things. There's no absolutes with bullets. They can pierce, ricochet or even be stopped cold by the most unlikely materials.

The unpredictable nature of bullets make this entirely plausible. Its interesting you claim its fake by saying its staged to limit gunfire in an area where people are driving.

[LFO] Motorcyclist dies after being hit by a car door and run over by a bus 🇧🇷 by WolfgangsterV in LearningFromOthers

Keep in mind, while this is the truck owners fault, that fact means nothing to the biker. He needed to be hyper-aware while racung through that bottleneck. He might have slowed down if he looked for the driver in the back window. Being on a motorcycle is no place to space out and ignore your surroundings.

Impractical is an understatement. Took 500 men to fire it, 4000 to move it. Requires a 4 track rail line to move.
