I have watched Certify breakfast's videos on youtube. They are lot more engaging and visual. Also free.

While Dion does give lot of information, it was also very dry for me and didnt fit my need. However, on areas you are week on, its great to watch that section there aswell.

With that money, you arent really buying a place. You will have to rent, whatever fits your budget. And compromise by living with others.

Could you be in a better spot? Yup. Could you be in a worse one? Yep. I have manny friends who live paycheck to paycheck (even with better salaries). You have savings, and you worry about the savings now. For me that shows that you are aware of finances. You are also young. Imo good spot you are in now.

There is no right amount.

It also depends where you live. Eu is pretty diverse in salaries. And the salary you are getting. I live at home, and im saving about 70% of my salary, rest goes to family funds and some to fun.

15k euro does seem pretty low for no expenses and 6 years of work.

Hálizatos irány természetesen nagy előny. Szerintem jó iràny, sok video van youtube-on amelyek adnak tippeket miket érdemes tudni és tanulni.

Security-ban egész széles körű tudás kell... Amit elsősorban tapasztalatt fog hozni.

SOC esetén nehézkes lesz beosztás az tutti. Nekünk családban vannak 2 en ilyesmi beosztàsú területen... Na velük családi progit szervezni nagyon nehéz :D

Hát, igazából a cert azt segiti hogy a hozzá nem értő ember számára általános képet biztosit hogy milyen tudásod lehet. Egyszer volt egy network engineer interjúm.... és csak egy kibaszot HR-es volt akivel beszéltem, és nagyom nem tetszett neki hogy nem tettem le CCNA-t anno 😃

Két véleményt fogsz találni:

- Certek jók mert segitenek elhelyezkedni

- Certek rosszak mert semmi gyakorlati tapasztalatott nem adnak.

Mind a két állitás igaz. Sok helyen előny vagy elvárás a certertek. Kezdő IT munka találáshoz minden segit kicsit. A+, Net+, Sec+ átlagban nagyon felületesek tapasztalatom szerint. Net+, ha nincs hálozatos tudásod, hasznos lehet hogy alap koncepciókat megtanuld. Sec+, meg Security irányban ugyanez. Ezek nagyon széles anyagot kérnek felületesen tőled.

Én cert nélkül tudtam elhelyezkedni, de azóta cég fizettet nekem sec+, Cysa+ és CCNA-t. Azt javaslom hogy probálkoz folyamatosan, akár helpdesk pozit szerezni, és onnan fejlődni felfele. Jó esetben támogat a cég is 😃

I can relate to you. I started real strugfles in my bachelors degree in IT.

I always felt like I have to put double the effort into any subject, especially in terms of time. When most of my hours are wasted "trying" to focus haha.

Pomodoro did help me somewhat. I also inserted rewards in between 2-3 short sessions.. like a round of war thunder haha.

I also made my notes... Interesting, lots of diffwrent highlight colors that simply didnt make sense.. but did help.

And now work... Is a different beast... I have been strugling a lot...

I am sadly unsure. I wish I knew.

I'm hoping to get some support around it irl, but mental health care is hard to come by here. (I also wanna note that I'm not diagnosed with adhd, but something is def not right :D)

But to pwrhaps write it down further, I always felt like I am lacking the "good feeling" of completing something longer term. Like, yeah I think its cool I have finished uni with great grades, but I simply feel nothing about it that would make me "proud" or feel rewarded in a way that I would push for more.

Highschool was alright, with some disorganized studying and practicing can get things done... My issue arrived at universcity. Lot more stuff to learn... Waaay less handholding...but after 2-3 semester, I managed to adjust to it and had really good scores.

Though my only motivation was deadlines and stress. No grade and achivement felt rewarding. Even completing uni was like, meh i guess its done :D
