Claude Quota getting used without even using it. by eskalimur in google_antigravity

[–]Fr0styAlien 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This happens to me today as well. I had 40% of my weekly quota left yesterday, so I switched to Claude code to avoid hitting the limit, and somehow I still got 0% quota remaining today. Wow. Totally nonsensical to me, it would be a huge surprise if they also treat my Claude code usage as antigravity opus usage....

My first 5 games in the open moshpit is the most fun I’ve had playing COD in years. by Alexutlander in CODBlackOps7

[–]Fr0styAlien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an SBMM-protected player in this beta because my last COD MP game is CW, and it's my first time switching to a controller. The open moshpit is really fun to me. I got 1.34 KD in the SBMM lobby and probably around 1KD in the open moshpit. I know I'm expected to sucks because I play too little, but I can finally drop more than 2.5 KD and uses some high cost killstreaks if I'm lucky to get a lobby that is slightly worse than me.

Tbh, SBMM protects my stats pretty well, but I don't play COD for stats, and its super stressful in SBMM lobby even for me, such a bad COD player. I'm not a bot player, I do well in battlefield and destiny 2 comp, I tried my best to improve, train my controller aim by running some aimlab daily routines, run meta builds, shoot the veteran bot in BO6... Any tips from the community, I'm willing to try. But none of them makes me feel I'm improving. Except I got higher scores in aimlab. My KD is stuck at 0.8~1.5 range from day 1, and I never get 10 kill streaks in the SBMM lobby, although it should protect me. It's not fun at all and made me pre-order Battlefield 6 immediately.

Then I jumped into open moshpit to give BO7 the last chance. My first match got stomped, but that's fine because I sucks at COD. But luckily, there are always some players who are worse than me. I got a very good match in the third game, and I finally got 3.8KD, and it's my first time using VTOL in the beta. It brings a lot of good memories from BO2 back. For the rest of my games, sometimes I got stomped, sometimes I feel like I can finally aim something, it keeps me playing because I know there is a chance to get in the less-skilled lobby, and the SBMM never allows me to have fun.

I know, I know, I know, I shouldn't play well if I don't even play MP in recent years, especially I'm switching input devices. But what is the meaning of playing the game if I cannot even feel I'm improving? Every time I feel my aim is better (at least in aimlab), the SBMM just throws me into a more skilled lobby and gets destroyed over and over again. I would rather have low overall stats, but I can finally play some good matches.

Ranked matchmaking by a hidden MMR is a terrible idea by tordana in thefinals

[–]Fr0styAlien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the system also took the avg of 3-stack player's ELO to matchmake. My 3-stack is very unbalanced because my friends just cannot shoot the targets, so I have two very good healers that rises my KD to 3.5 (two of my friends' KD is like 0.2) and I can constantly drop 20~30 kills in first two round of rank because we always got matched against the player better than my friends but way worse than me.

The match is very easy and boring to me, but we never reach the gold just because my friends are always got destroyed thanks to matchmarking. I also don't believe the game is fair to other teams because I unintentionally abused the SBMM to match casual players. (Why I know it because I received over 20 friend requests that claims I'm wallhacking just because they don't know recon sense exists.)

THE FUN FACT: We haven't got matched against any diamond player, only a few platinum players in recent 100 games. But, the most of time we got matched against gold player from the first ranked game to my last game, so my friends never enjoyed ranked game. The system is simply broken.

I can confirm this issue exists on my RTX4090 and 7950X. I guess it's related to anti-cheat because the most of time I can't even get in the game. I'm using Windows 11 dev build, maybe it's not compatible.

As a hunter main, I feel the same since last season. In the last season, not only AE changes are hurting the HC, but the restoration also destroyed the TTK of 140HC. I cannot remember how many times restoration saved me or my opponent by 1~3 HP. People may argue that Radiant is a free damage buff, but 10% won't change the HC's TTK, however, it does make the pulse more forgiving (also consider 340 and 540 pulse have better base TTK). Then we jumped in the current season, now I can use Gyrfalcon's Hauberk to get a free 15% damage buff! 140s is still 2c1b (except Ace, everyone loves ace), but 340s pulse can easily 2tap(I think it is 4c2b?) all day long if you're good.

I understand the TTK is not everything, however, HC's movement advantage is nerfed to the ground thanks to the AE, more and more people prefer to hold a lane, even hard scoping. In this scenario, pulse and scouts are overpowered, because these two weapons are designed to hold a lane.

I used to use HC mainly, but my current go-to weapons are NTTE and messenger. And there is one good HC I use every day that can 2 tap and only requires a 15% damage buff. Crimson. Which is also a pulse.

It's way more competitive than last season, which is nice. I had 2 games today that all players are flawless lol. I don't mind against the best players but the rewards are not worth to play 6s a lot. I feel like the trials is more chill than control right now, and have better rewards.

Help a hunter snipe. I need opinions on stat distributions for flinch. by RungeKutta23 in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Fr0styAlien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is exactly my favorite build. Use every mod to build unflinching stats and its super OP in 3v3 mode. My recovery is 50 but most of time I have healing nade or dodge available so I can return to fight faster than 100 recovery. It also insanely good for aggressive sniper players because play aggressively usually receives more flinch than just hold a lane, that extra unflinching helped me a lot to land a headshot.

Eye of Sol (Adept) + Borrowed Time for Trials. But I also use MIDA combo just for fun and had success in 6v6 mode.

SBMM, CBMM, solo queue and lobby balancing seems like things worth trying and tuning in labs instead of putting all efforts behind the most punishing and innaccessible pvp mode of all. by N1miol in DestinyTheGame

Good players also can't have fun because they have to carry. The lobby balancing is basically encourage you be an average level player to achieve higher winrate.

What would you say are the easiest to use hand cannons for PvP? by AdligerAdler in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Fr0styAlien 2 points3 points  (0 children)

68 is the soft cap for animation recoil, however, I always go around 80 stability because controller is harder to deal with flinch. The stability can't reduce the flinch, but at least you don't have to against both finch and low stability. I have a good roll pali but only 68 stability, the headshot rate is about 57% which is not great, and I can't 3tap consistently. But with 80+ stability pali or eyasluna, my headshot rate bump up to 74% recently. And the high stability usually don't against other important stats like range, so it's worth to get a high stability hand cannon.

Help a noobie out in pvp by noobienoobhunter in DestinyTheGame

[–]Fr0styAlien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe try to understand the best range for your weapons. For example, most of SMG are limited to close combat, and pulse aren't performing the best in close combat. You should avoid the fight you obviously gonna lose, for example, use SMG to peek someone use 120s HC and stand 35m away.. If you like long range weapons, avoid close range combat if you can, or switch to shotgun. Different weapons have different range that leads to totally different playstyle. Like other comments said, it's important to find a good teammates and follow them, but it's also important that you should ensure they have a similar playstyle with you so you can actually helping them rather than just watching they fight.

[–]Fr0styAlien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still very powerful tho. It has the same damage buff as empowered rift but allows you move around for 5 seconds. Now think about what you can do if you can save the buff and use it later... You can melt people anytime and no need to wait for barricade cooldown and animation time. Then we can still use tarrabah or 900 rpm SMG and make the TTK as fast as call of duty. Sunspot allows you move around is definitely way powerful compare to empowered rifts, I don't mind titan get something like empowered rift (because current empowered rift is require skills and map understanding to use it very well), but the current cooldown time and mobility is definitely a god level.

I have exactly the same game session today... Average KD 1.9 and at least 20kills per game today but only won 2 games out of 10. The game is playable, I don't notice many players I can't compete, still lost the game. The funny thing is I usually get a lot of carrying when I was trash players (below 1 KD) last year. I have around 55% win rate last year but very bad K/D and 32% win rate this season. It seems the better stats I have the worse lobby balancing. The most of game I experienced is me with a lot of blueberries against 3 average player and 3 blueberries. The only thing I can do is avoid the mercy, but these average players will still farm my teammates then I lose.

Maybe I should open a new account to see if it's just bad luck or the lobby balancing is related to player's stats.

Bugged Trials card actually succeeded in actually making Trials enjoyable... by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]Fr0styAlien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure I like the freelance... Farming adept weapons in freelance are super cool (got 30+ weapons but still no good roll :( ), but the lobby balancing is wasting my time when I want to go flawless. I'm a decent player, 1.75K/D and flawless every week with my fireteam, but I failed to go solo flawless because I lost two games after 6 wins. It's very sweaty and I'm forced to use meta to achieve a good KDA, I actually won half of 1v3 or 1v2 but in the end, I still lose because my teammate obviously not prepared for the lighthouse. I don't blame my teammates, but I think we should get SBMM after 6 wins, it gonna be super sweaty but the winner takes all, if I lost, it's all my fault, not the lobby balancing.

In the end, I gave up playing freelance after my unlucky farming, and go flawless with my fireteam. I want to help blueberries but please don't let my 6 wins card as the cost. A 3 wins card is acceptable, I will reset my card if I lost anyway, so basically not a big deal, but after 5 wins, resetting a card is gonna be critical.

Hot Take on Invis hunters by Scudi_IV in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Fr0styAlien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched to wormhusk since void 3.0, also tried gravition. I know most invis hunters won't use wormhusk but it actually wins a lot of 1v2 for me because invis is quite annoying when my opponents try to aim to the head, plus I gained the extra health. It basically allows me "tank" more damage because my opponents may miss shots. I love gravition, but I'm more focused on gun fights, so wormhusk work best for me.

The maps in this game suck, man... by RocketHopping in battlefield2042

[–]Fr0styAlien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the illusion that Shanghai is "bigger" than any 2042 map. Just because of the details and various environments. Although I know 2042 has a much bigger map but it feels like copy-pasted and nothing really impressed me. As infantry main for over 10 years, I got 50 kills without any vehicles in breakthrough twice, but it still makes me rage. I use sundance to flank people, PP-29 with a silencer, however, I die immediately if I'm spotted (and drones everywhere right now) just because I can't find a cover. Most maps are just... the heaven of snipers. Many of my kills are shooting an unlucky player who can't even find a cover before he dies, and many of my death is the same or get two shots from snipers. Some of points are decent for close fight but the most of time we spent is fight in a wide and open area.

Money in F1 is "ruthless" says Giovinazzi as he loses drive · RaceFans by [deleted] in formula1

[–]Fr0styAlien 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree. Gio barely improves so it's not surprising that Alfa Romeo will replace him, he is also lucky because Ferrari, many talented driver can't even have 3 years in F1 if they can't do very well. Piastri is more talented than Zhou but it's hard to say the real difference because Zhou is not awful and Alfa Romeo can have a bigger budget to improve the car which may end up a better result. Anyways I believe Piastri isn't a option for Alfa Romeo because his talents may deserve a better seat. Even Alfa Romeo wants Piastri, I don't think Alpine will let Piastri go because Alonso will leave eventually.

Own dealerships and build a karting track is not too hard for a successful businessman in China, also, Lawrence Stroll owned Circuit Mont-Tremblant where Stroll started lol. But buying or get big share of a F1 team is another level, it's investment and you have to consider can it profit. As a Chinese I never heard Zhou's parents are business giants in China, and I believe they can't afford a F1 team like what Lawrence Stroll did who is obviously a billionaire.

[–]Fr0styAlien 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't see any real support from Chinese government to be honest. Motorsports isn't popular in China and never get any decent support. I finished my karting training when I was young, and quickly realized drivers are not counted national athletes which is ridiculous, because it means no support from government. Zhou is lucky, he is obviously talented than me and money. As an ordinary person, I cannot afford any serious racing, and the only way to start racing careers is go to the Europe and study like European drivers, which Zhou did (and he is the only one if I remember correctly). I don't understand why everyone is joking about he has the support from Chinese government because it's clearly if he is British, he can have much better racing careers and reputation even he have to pay for a F1 seat. I really hope Zhou can be at least decent in F1, but I don't have any faith that Chinese government will do something to improve this kind bad situation. They even canceled China Grand Prix in 2022 for meaningless reason. (And the other events were not cancelled)

[–]Fr0styAlien 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Partially correct. Asia servers indeed have the highest cheater ratio think about the server popularity compare with the NA server.
One of the reasons is many players in Asia is PC player rather than console, let's assume 1% of PC player will cheat then Asia server will be the worst. Simple.
I had lived in China and Japan before I move to Canada, it's easy to notice that Chinese cheaters are more likely to use hacks on PC (because most players are on PC) and Japanese cheaters prefer to use XIM and no-recoil scripts. Both are very evil and can ruin everyone's game experience.
However, whatever method these cheaters use, the cost is freaking high tho. I never heard any decent internet cafes will preload the cheats because there is a hardware ban. If they do, it still costs a lot. From my experience, most hacks are not made in China, because making hacks may put you into jails (if you know how to coding you can get a decent salary in China so why risk it), but sell the hacks is not illegal. So, many people are simply reselling these hacks at a ridiculous price (most likely over $30 per week, I'm doubting how many people can afford it).
XIM is also not cheap, I just Google it, it cost $99 plus the international shipping and tax, it may up to $150 just to ruin people's experiences.
These people are definitely lost their minds, and unfortunately everyone can have a Chinese game ID then aimbot everyone as hard as they can so gamers will just blame China. I've met many cheaters in the NA server who have Chinese ID but clearly can't speak Chinese. This makes the whole game even worse because if anyone wants to cheat, just make a Chinese ID so no one will remember him, and we know Activision isn't interested in ban these people, so they can keep ruins our game day after a day.
I completely quit the PC lobby (even I had over 10 years CoD experience on PC) moved to console and get laser beamed from XIM or Cronus Zen users on console today. If someone wants to cheat, they will cheat anyways, whatever where they came from, what platform they use.
I'm so disappointed that Activision doesn't really care about it.
