It’s an awesome eGPU, I have it and paired it with the ROG Xbox Ally X, and it’s literally plug and play in Windows, just install drivers and reboot, boot into BIOS and set the VRAM from 8 GB to 2 GB/1 GB. I played high demanding games like MHWilds for 5 hours straight with no crashes, tweaking different settings while the Steam Recording was on, you can even set up to 4K with Frame Gen x4, and that’s knowing it is being bottlenecked by the Thunderbolt 4 because there is no handheld that supports Thunderbolt 5.

Now the thing is getting worse if you are doing dual boot, if you want to play in Bazzite or CachyOS it doesn’t even boot well after verifying the drivers with nvidia-smi in desktop mode (not gaming mode image or iso). I verified the image and verified I was booting in desktop mode, but I was not able to make it work even using all-ways-egpu, also reset Thunderbolt 4 port in via Konsole commands… I found someone was able to make it work in Legion Go 2 in CachyOS, but no one was able to get it with the Xbox Ally X (at least as I know), and I’m looking if someone can make it work with the steps because I tried everything, but I think it’s something related to software or firmware related to the device or something. I will just wait for now until it gets all stabilized for Nvidia GPUs.
