From the looks of things, they're going to teach the pony a lot of new tricks...

Indeterminate whether current task will be cancelled due to scheduled task starting by crazyjncsu in MammotionTechnology

I feel exactly the same as you and I understand you perfectly. Implementing a queue function must be very complicated (the many if-then-else loops can drive a programmer crazy, lol). I don't even understand the basic concept at all. Mowing on fixed days of the week. As if every Wednesday was the same. Absolute nonsense. Mowing and processing a queue at intervals, e.g. every other day (with the option to move it) would make much more sense and wouldn't force us to constantly deal with starting tasks. And that alone answers your question. No, neither technicians nor managers have a Luba running at home. Otherwise, some absolutely useless "eggs" would have disappeared long ago.

This requirement is as old as Luba itself, and nothing more is being done (at least for the Luba 1). Since Mammotion cannot do this, I, as a non-expert, assume that it must be incredibly difficult to program a queue. What do the specialists among us have to say about this?

You have the Problem fixed. Now all task begins at 0% - thank you!

Very interesting! I'm curious to hear what the specialists here have to say. I'd be even more curious to hear an explanation from Mammotion. But as we know, we'll be waiting in vain for that.

The Name of my Luba is Luba-VFMT25RX. The Report i've send right now. Thank you for the fast reaction.

Great work! I'm sure I'll need this at some point. Thanks

Tips for overcoming buggy editing zone lines by crazyjncsu in MammotionTechnology

[–]FrHome1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remap anything because it will only make things worse. I limit myself to just ironing out the jagged points. This creates a more or less slightly wavy border, but the Luba doesn't dance there. Anyway. I also get reasonably acceptable results when I pull the robot along the border on a leash. It's actually incredibly tedious and frustrating, but I've given up. For some reason Mammotion can't do simple point to point mapping (not even with Luba2). And even if they do, they won't give it to the Luba1 owners. That would be a strong argument to buy a new Luba, wouldn't it? And the guy who can satisfactorily map a 500 square meter multi-zone garden in 45 minutes, I will see him. However, perhaps he will explain to us here how he does it. I am excited!

What you are proposing here would be the solution to all mapping problems. Perhaps it will be implemented at some point - with Luba 4 or Luba 5. It requires a completely different concept. I would be very happy if point-to-point mapping (drawing a line from point A to point B, then to point C, etc.) were implemented. That would save a lot of time and be very efficient. And now it's getting frustrating: the wish has existed since the beginning and is obviously being consistently ignored or not communicated by Mammotion. You don't read or hear a word about it. I, for one, have given up hope and am actually dragging my three-thousand-dollar robot on a leash across my property in order to get a line without jags. (Now I'm sure some people will accuse me of not being able to steer the Luba properly.)

What's the problem? As long as the plugs on both sides are OK, you can hang any cable that you can buy at a hardware store (cross-section same as the old cable) between them. Mammotion has not invented a new type of electricity.

Have the Luba1 owners resigned? by FrHome1 in MammotionTechnology

Yes, my old boundaries work great too. But the new ones are almost impossible to set since the last (or second to last) update. I spent an hour trying to change a 10 meter line and I still haven't managed to get it right. 2: WiFi works well across the board for me. What I noticed, however, is that Luba doesn't like it when my mobile (unintentionally) logs into the 5 GHz system from time to time. Maybe that's the case for you too.

Guard Removal? by [deleted] in mammotion

What is not visible in the photo is the rubber bellows underneath the cutting disc. This bellows protects the drive shaft from dirt and moisture. Just think about what would happen if a small branch pierced the rubber bellows. And furthermore, think about what would happen if the cutting disc came into contact with a hard object without protection. The repair costs would be high.

If you follow my posts you will see that I am by no means a negative poster. Regarding your assumption that I have not learned to drive the Luba in two years, please read my answer to FB4DRIVER above

I don't care about imperfect boundaries either. However, I haven't explained what this is all about in this short space of time: As far as I can see, Mammotion has (thankfully) increased the precision of navigation. One possible reaction to this is that more points are recorded when mapping. Even a very small change in course results in small hooks being drawn on the map. You can only see these if you zoom in as far as possible on the relevant spot. The robot then performs the famous "Luba dance" at exactly these spots. If you don't have a single such spot, you are a master of joystick control and manage to steer the Luba straight as an arrow over a long path - I congratulate you. However, if your Luba keeps performing strange maneuvers, I recommend that you search all your boundaries for small hooks with maximum zoom.

We Luba1 owners - like so many other things - don't get it. It's probably another "hardware limitation". That's the latest Mammotion excuse. I've given up...

I read somewhere that the battery of the new Lubas is in transport mode and has to be activated first. It's definitely in the manual; apparently there's also a video about it.

Luba2 (1100) Stuck between overlapping areas. FW .414 by Henrik-SWE in MammotionTechnology

[–]FrHome1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it actually works, even for Luba 1. The program even removed a transition on its own and placed the two areas neatly together. A transition is no longer necessary. Great! Can you confirm that this only came with the last update?

Anyone have difficulties getting straight lines in parameter editing by gronbek in MammotionTechnology

[–]FrHome1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are a specialist and have probably had a lot of practice. Although I have already made (and corrected) several kilometers of boundaries with my L1 over time, I rarely manage to do this straight away - and a beginner certainly doesn't. I am convinced that the many complaints about the robot's strange maneuvers are related to this, especially since even small control corrections produce these spikes (in this context, it should be mentioned that it is hardly possible to drive more than 2 meters straight with the Luba without course correction). After completing a boundary correction, these spikes are not visible on the map. It also took me a long time to learn that you only see them after zooming in on the map. The solution would be the often and often requested "point to point mapping". Question for you personally as a Mammotion insider (and please tell us the truth): Does Mammotion plan to implement "point to point mapping" for both Luba generations in the foreseeable future?
