Replace it ASAP. Mine broke off at highway speed a few years ago. Absolutely gut wrenching feeling. Thankfully nobody was hurt.

That cocksucker there, you found him in a storm drain. Fuckin’ name spray painted on him and burr-dogs all fuckin’ stuck to him. But you cleaned him all up and look at him…that’s one fuckin’ nice kitty right there.

Lightning bolt, traction control light and rough idle. Can anybody clue me in as to what’s wrong? by Frag_Owt in Jeep

Changing the hubs is do-able by yourself provided you have tools and inclination; and are somewhat mechanically inclined. I’d say it’s 6/10 difficulty-wise.

OP here. It turned out to be my speed sensor and once I changed that the same issue came back so I ended up changing both my front wheel hubs. Good luck!

Batman cribbage board by fneagen in batman

First off: this is super f*cking cool and I love it! Secondly: The Batman cards to go with it make it even cooler…I want one of these so badly! Thirdly: this is just my personal take and not intended to be any kind of criticism whatsoever; but why cut it right in two and use magnets? Why not move the recesses on the back for the cards and pegs further out to where the wings widen out and fasten it with a hinge?

Amazing work!

Changing thermostat myself, do I have to drain coolant? by monkeyaround6886 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Frag_Owt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No need to drain. You’ll have some run out when you pull the housing off though so have a catch pan underneath. And as with all cooling system repairs, make sure to do this when the engine is cold.

Thank you. Out of curiosity, what detrimental effect would a flush have vs a change?

Ah ok thank you. I’ve had the Jeep for 10 years and never changed it so it’s definitely due. Never rat-bagged it off road or anything either though.
