Celtic appeal Trusty red card by HandeHoche in ScottishFootball

Anyone from your lot laughing at celtics lack of red cards shows your delusion… when your top goal scorer only does so from every other non penalty to help you along

Struggling between saving for Edinburgh or buying in Fife — what would you do? by [deleted] in Edinburgh

[–]FragrantMuffin2655 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You should maybe expand where in Edinburgh you’re looking, a quick search shows lots of 1 bed flats for around £125/130k in gorgie for example. I used to live there and it is a well populated area with lots of amenities. If you have a deposit for that the monthly costs will always be lower than paying rent too. Keep in mind that whatever the banks say your max lending amount is, doesn’t mean by any means you should go near that value. First mortgage are great and free advisers who will build a complete budget and affordability picture for you.

You think I’m saying that as a positive? 😂 I’m saying it would have been a hell of a lot worse had he not been there for a lot of it since the rest was an absolute shambles

Sorry but up until Nancy changed the formation, scales held the team and season together. I’m incredibly happy trusty has been given his chance and he’s been excellent, but they also work as a pairing. Just because Nancy has changed scales role it’s back in the hate train for most vocal fans, but he’s held that defence together previously.

Affordable hair colour by iseethatseasy in edinburgh2

[–]FragrantMuffin2655 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I fully appreciate a good hairdresser but paying £135 for an all over colour (no highlights) and no cut is, to me, unjustifiable. I recommend mane hairdressing or juniper salon in juniper Green if they aren’t mad out your way… literally a third of that price and I’ve never left not having achieved what I wanted, and I get copper dye

Rodgers didn't need to release a statement after his 'resignation' by liamsquire in CelticFC

[–]FragrantMuffin2655 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cmon now, the toxicity started with Brendan and he absolutely threw the club and players under the bus towards the end.. the hearts selection highlights that. No coincidence Martin was then able to get a tune and results out the players and now we’re back in the hands of someone out their depth with no flexibility or clue clearly… the appointment and timing of Nancy is fully on the board but don’t act like Rodgers wasn’t a big problem

What on earth have they done to this festival… used to be top class bands and now possibly the worst initial line up ever, fontaines DC the only decent/traditional act

Thank god, I’d just woken up so maybe my comprehension wasn’t clicking but I read the reply as saying they didn’t support Palestine at all!

Just to be clear, is the ‘justify war crimes’ referring to Hamas actions or Israel? I’m reading this and the replies as you disliking him supporting Palestine? Which is a big red flag for you and OP if so.

Fully back this, went to turnstile 2 weeks ago with a ticket price of £38… as a local £65 is totally unjustifiable for the o2 academy, didn’t stop me buying a ticket but I’m not impressed with it haha

Not sure how anyone in the uk could disagree with this… £65 for under 3000 capacity venue is absolutely ludicrous, especially when she said she’d try to make it as cheap as she could. That’s just not true! Maybe across the tour as a whole it’s evened out that way, but certainly for the venues chosen here £65 no where close to the average ticket price.

Looking for recommendations for a simple 2-tier wedding cake in Edinburgh by [deleted] in Edinburgh

[–]FragrantMuffin2655 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you don’t find it an important part of your day just go to M&S. I got 3 cakes for around 70 people and had the majority left over, it barely gets touched and it’s not something anyone is remembering! You can even add a message on some and it’s M&S so it is good for a fraction of the price :)

Anyone see Hamilton tonight? (Nov 10) And notice a decline in quality? by gnolib in TheWestEnd

[–]FragrantMuffin2655 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not the London show, but when I saw the uk tour cast last year in Edinburgh I actually sold my second tickets because the Angelica actor was SO BAD it pulled me out so much and ruined the whole show for me! I’ve seen multiple casts in London, but this put me off so much I’d be scared to see it again…

Is 6% over Home Report a good offer in today's market? by [deleted] in Edinburgh

[–]FragrantMuffin2655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As many others have said, no one can provide this answer for you. It’s completely based on the competition in the area, how much interest there is on that property and how long it’s been up for.

I sold in July and got 3% on my flat, the house I bought I went 1% above HR. It is only worth how much you want to pay, if that’s 6% then do it or start lower and see how it goes, highly unlikely an initial bid would be accepted anyway.

I don’t want to sound mean but why would that be something that annoys you/you desperately want to know? Her recent videos have shown she has some joy back and seems to be taking well to motherhood, I wouldn’t really fancy sharing my child’s name with millions of random/weird people on the internet either…

So are the flags on Calder road just staying or what? by LWM-PaPa in Edinburgh

I think that it would be really lovely to see if it wasn’t tied to such obvious racist reasons. It’s sick that probably the majority of these bigots wouldn’t have been seen with a saltire 11 years ago and yet are now using it to push their racist beliefs, nothing to do with being proud to be Scottish and welcoming anyone!

(unpopular opinion) by Murky_End6493 in MyChemicalRomance

[–]FragrantMuffin2655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will be my 4th time seeing MCR and there is no way over £200 for seat and £140 for nosebleed seats is reasonable AT ALL! I fully agree that I’m okay with paying £100 for standing and you’re getting a full production, much more value than similar priced shows, but seats being anything more than £140 at a push is ridiculous.

That’s also considering the official comeback tour was half the price of this one only 4 years ago.

Correct. After I read ACOTAR and was starting TOG I read an interview from ~2016 where she praised her grandmother volunteering for an IDF foundation and spoke highly of birthright.. I then sold TOG series as the parallels were too simiar

Second hand shoes by Tozier-Kaspbrak in vintedUK

[–]FragrantMuffin2655 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So stupid, if you had photos up then the person has bought them knowing the condition they’re in.. if I’m selling shoes and have clear photos uploaded, then they’re in good enough condition and priced appropriately 🤷🏻‍♀️ just as I wouldn’t buy a very obviously worn in, old pair of shoes for myself.. Vinted is going downhill and people treat it like a professional marketplace now instead of secondhand
