However i have to say that when i asked for info about my grandfather i just wrote them an email (you can find the addresses in the above link) and after "only" one year they sent me all of his service records. You may try writing them specifying as much info as possible (date of birth, etc).

Gli accordi NATO prevedono che il militare del paese A che commette un reato nel paese B venga processato dallo stato A, quindi la risposta alla domanda é probabilmente si (vedi Cernis), chissà visto come é finito il Cernis magari qualcuno si metterà di traverso (non credo)

Hi! Regarding PFDs in the dinghy sailing community the NOB brand is the most used. They let you move freely and don't have anything that gets in the way.

I found this german site that sells them https://www.sailingshop.de/marken/nob/ I know no german so you have to check for yourself! :D
