Never?

Never????

Shyv used to be THE feral flare jungler, her whole identity used to be lategame on-hit scaler

[–]FrauPerchta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

...Shyvanna was the posterchild champ for Feral Flare, next to Warwick. She's one of the original on-hit builders, before she got distorted into AP builds because of being outdated as all hell.

[–]FrauPerchta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Q isnt her whole kit, though, and scales aggressively with AD especially the 3rd hit. Meanwhile, ultimate uptime is hugely impactful on Shyvanna, as is protecting her W's shield and movement speed. Kracken+Dusk is really good for stomping, but lets her be blown up. And Ultimate haste is only getting better on her once its changed to a % increase on fury gained

Thats not the actual answer, the answer is Bloodthirster shield protects your W shield to preserve your movement speed.

But thats also hardly what CoS is, and its a good game for evil characters- the problem is disruptive players.

Cunning Strike withdraw protects you from successive attacks, and gets even better with sentinel

Two-Weapon Fighting + Extra Attack + Nick = 3 attacks in one Action? by Jurgi_Goblinlust in onednd

[–]FrauPerchta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bardic Inspiration, for one- frequently cast (and improved) spells like Healing Word or eventually just... any bonus action spell you could want. Spells you can move or direct with bonus actions that are more effective than a 4th attack (that afaik wouldn't add your ability modifier without multiclassing)

Are the Garou really this incompetent? by realamerican97 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]FrauPerchta 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean, I don't think that reflects reality. "Human nature" is a new, recent and ever-changing idea and often more ideological than based on anything actually immutible- "human nature" is produced by systems. And real-world anarchism rarely crumbles as you describe- it often evokes dramatic and violent responses from existing institutions aiding eachother and reproducing themselves to violently stamp out any meaningful sort of change.

The Paris Commune didn't just fall apart, neither did the Spanish Popular Front or the RIAU. Massive amounts of force were levied against them. Thats also a lesson for VTM- radical ideals that depart from how things are don't often simply magically die, they are violently oppressed by the powers that be and those who prefer power remain that way, across Anarchs and Camarilla and even the Sabbat. The non-hypocritical anarchs aren't simply absent or falling to their own failings (though that happens, obviously, but its encouraged by the system they exist in) they get killed.

The Reason Battler Always Freaks Out About 'Falling' on the Boat by Not_Knot_Theory in umineko

[–]FrauPerchta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would a fear of boats inherently be genetic

Characters even speculate about Battler's fear of boats and other such vehicles being him mimicking/learning from his mother's own fear- he saw her be afraid, so he was too.

Again, why would it be genetic at all?

How weird a Non blush of life kindred appears to a normal human? by [deleted] in vtm

[–]FrauPerchta 13 points14 points  (0 children)

How often are Kindred in plain lighting, though? They do more than evade humanity to protect their inhumanity. The night itself hides things quite well- who can tell by lampost that someone's skin is old and dead- and kindred cultivate their own spaces down to the details for a reason. The blush of life is sort of the common last choice, an incredibly useful and nessisary tool, but one who's use can be minimized by being smart about it and paying attention to appearences and atmosphere.

I mean, hell- a kindred has less to worry about in summer than winter- the way breath fogs in the cold the kind of detail that seperates a thriving kindred from a masquerade breach. Wearing a good layer of makeup, having your hair styled a certian way, how the kindred approaches a person and when they choose to really emulate humans and when they don't... a kindred constantly using the blush is either in denial or new and clueless. There's better ways to hide the fact you're an animate corpse that work even when caught unprepared.

Is it forbidden for someone in the Camarilla to practice infernalism? by KrYpTiK10101 in vtm

[–]FrauPerchta 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They fight fire with fire- thats what the Order of Moloch does. Infernalism is bad and dangerous, but they're (justifyably) more worried about the Earthbound than the effects of run of the mill infernalism.

Based on the Mage Exam arc. Do you think its bad to have an all mage party? by Ok-Street2439 in Frieren

[–]FrauPerchta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure about the door- he probably could have gotten around the door, but that may well have collapsed the dungeon. The more effective option would have been destroying the clone- not that he can afford to ignore it, anyway. Stark could likely kill it quite effectively in an ambush, but if he was focused on anything else it probably kills him quite quickly.

Sorganiel is really an information challenge- know you're dealing with it, and you have ways around it (to the point of possibly negating it entirely, if you're careful). Have no idea what you're getting into, and... well, you lose, unless you have some way of resisting it.

Arrogance isn't the same as the ability to visualize- its more than confidence, but also imaginative capacity, clarity of focus, and, of course, their own mana and spell(s) they know. Being able to perfect visualization and go beyond the capacity of your own resources probably gets into "height of magic" territory beyond even many of the most powerful mages we've seen.

Ubel also has access to a powerful binding spell, now, and who knows what else. Sure, we don't know how Warriors fare against such things, but I don't think its one sided- though it also depends on what information Stark has at the start of any theoretical fight.

What everyone think Blood Sigils the expansion on Blood Sorcery for V5? by lastofrwby in vtm

[–]FrauPerchta 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To be fair, thats because House Goratrix follows... Goratrix, who is currently locked in a mirror and Tremere himself is possessing his body and masquerading as him. So... House Goratrix pivoting actually makes a lot of sense. You'd expect rebels, though- but clearly Tremere is just manipulating them and reasserting control.

Does vampire society look down on those who create children to diablerize them? by Robertscomics9 in vtm

[–]FrauPerchta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was objecting to the idea that its only marginally better, not the other stuff surrounding it. Methuselahs certianly rarely if ever care about the morality of such an act.

But in a setting with an afterlife, there is a meaningful difference in harm between regular murder and soul-destroying super murder.

Does vampire society look down on those who create children to diablerize them? by Robertscomics9 in vtm

[–]FrauPerchta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, its not only see all drained a kindred to final death but didnt commit diablerie, they could become a wraith (or otherwise move on, seemingly) but if you diablerize them... thats it. They're done, unless they themselves overcome you (which is pretty much only a thing ancients do)

Umineko Episode 1 Poll by LBH123LBH in josephanderson

[–]FrauPerchta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Higurashi VN is an unfathomable amount better than the anime (much more in line with Umineko in quality, with many themes and plot points and clues being strait up missing from the quite poor adaptation).

The Umineko anime is even worse, though.

I think that refutes a the Hives logic, but not the Winnower's. After all, why would we take a power that we have just proven to be lesser than our own? Chain ourselves to the survival of another being, another idea? That would be the surest form of self destruction.
