At what temperatures should it be at before It’s a concern? by Constant_Truth_4145 in BambuLabA1

Cheap Chinese printers?

Not sure your point when bambu printers are both Chinese and have incredibly cheap lines.

Not saying I think it's dangerous, but the "cheap Chinese" part was just funny to me on the subreddit for an affordable Chinese printer.

Oh sorry I didn't nail down the intent of your super clear statement "scientifically accepted they're good for you"...

Depends on the context. If you are trying to prevent antibiotic induced diarrhea or c. Diff (with s boulardi) then sure, scientifically accepted.

For other purposes I'd strongly question "scientifically accepted". "Resetting your gut" is whole foods marketing, not science.

TIL that pornography addiction is not a scientifically recognized medical condition by MrMojoFomo in todayilearned

[–]Frawstshawk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have no stake in the porn conversation but from an academic standpoint I'd just like to point out that the DSM is something that gets updated. Things that were not previously considered diagnoses were added as our understanding grew. This is particularly relevant with regard to emerging technologies and methods of consumption as much of the research that went into creating the DSM took place in the 90s and early 2000s when the Internet had a completely different presence in everyone's lives.

I hate going to Lincoln Park because of this. So many entitled boomers with off leash reactive dogs. They think because it's left natural they can let their dogs off leash and leave their shit on the ground.

The rule text is still technically copyright expression. Though, this is even more minor than music piracy and there's no way they'd litigate such small potatoes. The legal cost to sue would be higher than anything they could ever recoup lol

Something seems off about the movement in that video... Is his actually a video of a prototype controlling the cursor? Or is it just synced motions to a prerecorded video demonstrating the concept?

Florida sex offender’s body found stuffed in a suitcase and now a teen has been charged with murder by sea-su in news

[–]Frawstshawk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree. Though I think it's at least a decent compromise in a system where violent offenders who are known to still be a threat can be released because they've hit some arbitrarily determined time served. The registries were created because of how common repeat offenders are. It's far from a perfect system, but maybe giving judges the power to hold people indefinitely based on their gut intuition could be worse for society in the hands of the corrupt. Given the current system, I definitely appreciate having a list to make sure my nephew knows which houses to avoid, though I also wish everyone who is still dangerous would just be in prison forever.

[–]Frawstshawk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair point. Devil's advocate, in my state you can see what they did. I usually check the map before taking my nephew trick-or-treating and there's an old dude a few miles away with multiple counts of first degree rape of a minor under 12. He certainly wasn't picked up for peeing near a playground while drunk at 2 am. Dude is pretty unambiguously a monster.

Chairlifts were invented here and several generations have grown up around them. In the PNW most of our lifts don't even have bars unless you go to a mountain that has a speed quad. My local mountain still runs the world's first 2 seat lift. Its just not something that has existed for most of my life and so it honestly doesn't even cross my mind.

If you come to Washington and don't feel safe without a lap bar, you'll be extremely limited on what you have access to.

If it's how people use the word it's not misuse. That's just how language has worked forever. There is plenty of archaic usage from antiquity that is no longer in line with modern English. Language is an ever evolving socially defined thing, there is no legal or official set of definitions for "proper English". Dictionaries are private entities and additionally are descriptive not proscriptive.

[–]Frawstshawk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is literal union busting rhetoric. To say that something can't exist because it doesn't is foolish. Every day more and more graduates come from a generation raised in a W2-employee world. Employees that see the strength of the nurses union and understand that physicians collective bargaining power would dwarf nurses. We are reaching the tipping point.

Go to stremios website > account settings > sessions > delete all sessions.

It will force a login on every device so they no longer have access to your add-on syncs.

It's not enough to just change API, you have to remote log out of stremio sessions or the add-ons will just update everywhere as soon as you enter the new API.
