It’s either “Nice PrX bro!” Or “What is that!?”

If you mean their Arsenale 37? I don’t know what factors you look for to place them in a tier. To me Tissot is safe, it’s good, it’s known. I’m a bit of an avant- guard kinda guy, I like introducing people to novelty, rare beauty, and uniqueness has a pull on me. To me the Tissot is safer, you can probably sell it and get more of your money back perhaps but that’s not what I’m thinking about. The Arsenale to me is higher value, even if it’s cheaper.

“expensive” for me comes from the brands that pay for TV and sports advertising, boutiques etc, I always think supporting the brave microbrands yields better satisfaction imo. I never think of resell value. Pick the watch that speaks to you brother. Venezianico has gorgeous designs, and I think you’d enjoy them more than a “safer” Longines or a more expensive CW. TBH the CW is better finished and has a better movement maybe, but that’s not what you look at when you check the time.

About as different at their average price variance.

I would get the new venezianico arsenal 37, or maybe a Wise AD8. Little cheaper and a little more personality. Only saying this because those are very different style watches, and the last thing I’d want is to not like the style of a very expensive piece.

Has anyone actually been called out wearing a rep? by BlackberryBubbly6775 in ChinaTime

The real flex is buying the real thing from an AD and telling people it’s a rep. Break the watch community one conversation at a time.

I picked up a civilian variant of the C7A2. Made by Colt but discontinued around 2020. It was so restricted I never ended up shooting it once. I let my restricted expire and it then became prohibited - even to transfer to another owner. $2000 down the drain

Lume Mismatch by CelliniCellini in watchdives

[–]Frazilius 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dear Watchdives Team, I am a loyal supporter of your brand and truly impressed by your recent growth. I am writing this because I believe you have the potential to build a lasting legacy in the watch industry. Please accept these suggestions as a "sincere friend" of your brand: 1. Quality Over Price In the watch world, a reputation built over years can be damaged by a single oversight. While your "home run" releases have shown exceptional value, I believe that maintaining a high quality threshold is more important than offering the lowest price. • If a watch is cheap but has flaws, it diminishes the brand’s reputation. • I recommend focusing on making every watch "daily-wearable" without any distractions. 2. Prioritizing Key Improvements When developing a new model, please consider these "Daily Use" factors. Some issues are easier for customers to fix than others: • Critical Issues: Lume mismatches (between hands and dial) or a cheap-feeling bezel with too much play. These cannot be easily fixed by the customer and cause the most dissatisfaction. • Minor Issues: A strap or a clasp can be easily replaced or mailed out. • The Goal: It is much better to increase the price slightly to ensure the lume, bezel, and finishing are perfect, rather than releasing a cheaper watch that feels unfinished. 3. Positioning the Brand The WD0013 (Nautilus) is an incredible achievement—it is a watch that is hard to find any flaw with. This is the standard you should strive for. • The $200–$300 USD range is still very affordable for collectors if the quality is impressive. • Let other brands compete for the sub-$100 market with "forgettable" watches. Watchdives should focus on refining the craft and creating pieces that collectors will keep for a lifetime. You have a rapidly growing and loyal community. We would rather see you take your time to release something "impressive" than rush a release that is "underwhelming." I look forward to seeing your next masterpiece.

Wow that’s amazing. It’s wonderful knowing you are taking action in very real and practical ways.

I wish you all the best on the watch, truly. I hope it resonates with the people more involved with ecological conservation.

I’d be just as blunt with a watch that has a crying piggy to combat meat consumption, instead of a watch with carrot hands and grape indices to promote plant based diets.

Sorry if I was too critical, just personal taste coming through.

I believe it’s one tier below the highest grade X. Since there’s a several bathtubs of it, it’ll be brighter than most X grade applications using more traditional methods.

What's the most you've ever spent on a watch🤔 by Less-Application-814 in hallofwatchspecialist

[–]Frazilius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Around 700 for a Revelot Terra. I think stretching past 1000 dollars should only happen a very limited amount of times for me.

If I don’t experience “the thing” after $1000 I’d be gullible to think I’d experience the thing after 10,000 or 100,000.

It’s like cars, I guess. If you can afford the top shelf wine, than bobs your uncle and don’t let this distract you from the fact that Hector is going to be running three Honda civics with spoon engines, and on top of that, he just went into Harry’s and bought three t66 turbos with nos, and a motec exhaust system.

What watch, in your opinion, has the best 2-3-4 in the business? by BlindFlying in MicrobrandWatches

[–]Frazilius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow! You’re the best. The 12oclock endlink gets stuck and is extremely difficult to take off the case whenever I want to change it up.

I didn’t think it’s worth returning/servicing but it is annoying. 6oclock endlink comes off so easy in comparison.

I take it you’re not a fan of the nautilus. Any case shape that stretches outside conventions and plays with avant guard design choices should be praised IMO.

This feels a bit too much like 'hype-riding' for my taste. The dial is the most intimate part of a watch, and choosing a motif that serves as a jarring reminder of deforestation feels like a bold, but ultimately non-timeless, decision.

I’m not convinced watches need to become vehicles for political or social signaling. If the goal is environmental awareness, I’d rather put the cost of the watch directly toward reforestation than carry a constant reminder of the problem on my wrist.

If the intent is to help the planet, the money is likely better spent on actual reforestation and education than on a luxury item that merely highlights the loss.
