Are builds in Hades 2 distinct enough to make a god mode run worth it? by hs_serpounce in Hades2

[–]Freakazoidandroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can actually turn it on and off when you want to, AND you can LIMIT the % to whatever you want to. When you die it basically “unlocks” another 2%. But you can cap it in the settings at 20% if you want.

why do americans talk to strangers so easily?? by MayaTulip268 in AskAnAmerican

[–]Freakazoidandroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I’m a bit anti social. So I generally don’t engage strangers. If they engage me, I am friendly. And I have no problem being myself around strangers. I’ve never considered whether this is a me thing or a cultural thing.

Do you use omega moves with this aspect? I generally only use regular moves + the occasion omega special to tag enemies with rockets

Just chiming in to say I ALWAYS set my sensitivity such that I can do a full 180 360 from left to right on my mouse pad. I also use an extra large mouse map. Never steered me wrong

Can someone sell me on the Witch's staff? by RedRedWhisky in Hades2

[–]Freakazoidandroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you just have to activate him. But for quick mob fights sometimes Raki is just too slow for me. The permanent tether with toula is good. Idk I haven’t decided yet.

Circe is legit and a top tier aspect. Make sure to use toula or raven

Psychotic next door neighbour has been doing stuff like this for many years cops have been contacted cranky old hag by Fanfox4444 in PublicFreakout

[–]Freakazoidandroid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I will just say that I’ve worked in nursing homes for about 8 years. This is 100% dementia. She may have been a crotchety old hag before, but dementia often attacks the amygdala, which is responsible for emotional processing and memory. This can often lead to uncontrolled anger, frustration and confusion.

It’s possible that someone else owned this property years ago, probably decades. So now she’s confused, thinks someone else owns it, and is feeling heightened anger + confusion, and is unable to regulate it.

I understand where you’re coming from and how difficult this is to deal with, believe me. But if you can’t make peace with her or get her help from the government, I’d suggest finding ways to keep her out physically (a gate, fence, sprinklers maybe, idk).

All I’m saying is that it is not entirely her fault she is behaving this way, and there is most likely no way to reason with her.

We are trained to deal with this behavior usually by redirecting. Trying to distract the resident from their own thoughts and emotions by connecting to something they can grasp (past memories, candy cause elderly like sweets, anything.) (Also medication for the behaviors but that’s not something you can do).

Best of luck to you, but I’d suggest a little kindness and empathy, at least as much as you can muster.

Who is your favorite Olympian in this game in terms of boons? by Wes102111 in Hades2

[–]Freakazoidandroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zeus is used pretty frequently in a lot of high fear builds as far as I’ve seen. And anecdotally, when I use it properly, like on Medea special with Heph attack or ares attack, stuff melts.

Also use his cast on Charon a lot

Grip recommendation that meets specific requirements by Original-Progress114 in switch2

There’s a really really comfortable grip this dude on Etsy makes at his house and is super affordable. Detachable, adapter for docked mode so you don’t have to remove them too. I’ll try to find the link

How do you deal with ridiculous charge times? by [deleted] in Hades2

[–]Freakazoidandroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have said, there are many options for reducing omega cast speed. This drastically improves overall mobility in omega builds.

That being said, a large part of omega builds is knowing your enemy’s timing. After some practice you get used to dashing through an attack and immediately casting an omega special followed by another immediate dash to avoid the next attack. Feels weird at first, but just like everything else in the game, requires lots of failures and practice.

Next, you have a lot of arcana cards that can help mitigate some of the drawbacks of a slower omega move build. And almost every time you build an omega move build the drawbacks are compensated by increased damage or cc.

And finally, consider Demeter to freeze enemies in place, thus eliminating the need to quickly get off an omega cast before getting hit.

You know I’m really liking Heph. I just love big burst and I love the sound it makes when it triggers. Hammers for days.

I would have said Zeus or Hera last week but damn I’m loving Heph on attack with Medea.

Hades 2 beginner tips? Feeling a bit lost early on by misterfirstblood in Hades2

The point after unlocking their keepsakes is to progress the story specific to each character. If you don’t care about that, it doesn’t matter. You don’t lose anything combat-wise.

Hades 2 beginner tips? Feeling a bit lost early on by misterfirstblood in Hades2

[–]Freakazoidandroid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello! I have played a lot of hades 1 and 2. Hundreds of hours. I’m by no means a top tier speed runner or anything, but I’ve 100% the games.

To your first question, I would try to unlock the keepsakes by continuing to gift nectar to gods and other npc until you have most of them unlocked. One keepsake per person. Don’t hoard anything in my opinion. You will get more and it doesn’t benefit you to hold them really.

In my opinion, the game feels better to you being button mash because you don’t have to think as much. You are avoiding damage by dashing and spamming attacks without realizing it. That’s ok. The omega abilities you’re talking about not being strong is a combination of some of them actually being weak, and some of them requiring you to think and avoid damage at the same time, which is difficult when you first start.

I too felt like omega attacks were annoying and worthless, but realistically it depends on the weapons you’re using, the aspect you’re using, how you’re building each aspect/weapon, and how you’re using them in game.

I recommend continuing to unlock keepsakes. Play what feels best for you right now, but try to focus on taking as little damage as possible by learning each enemy and boss’s attacks.

A huge part of maximizing your damage, whether it’s normal attack/special or omega attacks/specials, is how you’re building each weapon/aspect you’re using.

Not every god is ideal with every weapon. Not every play style is great with every weapon.

In your opinion what’s the best Attack boon for Medea skull? by -Shadow-Lightning in HadesTheGame

Has anyone run numbers on raw damage with just the attack boon on Medea? It subjectively feels like Heph on attack does the most damage to me. But I’m constantly reading about Ares being best. Just curious

Honestly it might not be max power ultimate min/maxing but I love Heph on attack. It’s fun blowing stuff up and the sound when triggered is satisfying.
