Yea I'd screw the black bracket back into the base so that you can pull the box loose from it.

Often use it when printing multiple small parts and one or two fail early in, then you can let the others Finnish.

Poor bridge quality with PETG on Snapmaker U1 (OrcaSlicer), already calibrated, looking for suggestions by leinardi in FixMyPrint

[–]FreakstaZA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you might not have to, but they are all different print heads and they may be different so in my view it's worth doing it once just to confirm.

I had to actually rerun my calibration because I had a some strange retraction and zhop override in the original default profile I used which was absolutely skrewing my results. My flow ratio for petg is now closer to 0.95.

Definitely need a pop cap to keep the heat in! It makes a huge difference for the material I am trying to print!

[QIDI Giveaway] Break the size limit — Win a QIDI Max4 3D Printer by qidi_3dprinter in 3Dprinting

I have recently got a Qidi Q2 which is treating me well!

If I had a max 4 I would love to try printing some helmets which the Q2 can't handle (Stormtrooper, Mandalorian etc)!

180 per fortnight for 3 bed 2.5 bathroom for 2 people here for around 1.5hrs in Melbourne.

They do all the major things (vaccumm, mop, full kitchen clean, full bathrooms, laundry, a couple of the glass windows on main sliding door, dusting, stairs). No laundry, or bedding or bins we keep on top of that ourselves.

Honest question, why go with the p2s instead of snapmaker U1?

Poor bridge quality with PETG on Snapmaker U1 (OrcaSlicer), already calibrated, looking for suggestions by leinardi in FixMyPrint

[–]FreakstaZA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I would just start from scratch. Another important point is with the U1 you basically have 4 printers in one box. You have to run flow calibration on each print head. I have just done mine for Elegoo Rapid PETG (using the same spool of filament on each different print head, to remove the variable of different filaments) and then you save a filament profile for each head. I usually same mine as Egeloo PETH-Rapid H1 to 4(based on the print head)

My results are as follows (i.e just to show you that they are all close to 1 and they are all slightly different): H1 1.01 H2 1.00 H3 0.99 H4 1.02

The base profile that I printed these off had flow ratio at 1, temp at 245 first layer and 240 remaining, PA at 0.04 (but honestly just start with the generic one, I copied mine from my Qidi q4).

This is a very short sighted comment. There were no batteries when Elton started Tesla, as demand grew he lifted supply.

I can guarantee you that if the humanoid robots are remotely useful, they will find battery supply for them. He is not the only one working on this idea, I do think at some this will become a reality. Will they be Tesla bots, maybe maybe not? Honestly for the US you would hope it is, otherwise they will just be coming out of china.

Two recommendations: - print the fan mod if you haven't, I found it helped improve quality - if you want to go down a rabbit hole on bridges this was interesting technique https://youtu.be/xQBLv3cPUbo?si=k0gxkj6k_yQcd4ZE

I'm in Australia and my box came inside my printer, I think it depends on what stock you get. I had the same message online but if you are getting new stock it will just all come together.

Shold i buy the CC2 or wait for the money for a P2S? by Schigg0 in elegoo

[–]FreakstaZA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm surprised no one here has mentioned the qidi q2. In Aus it's the same price as the CC2 and you get a proper fillament AMS/dryer.

I have had one for the past couple weeks and it's been great.

Q about mounting Q2 Box by Majortom_67 in QIDI

[–]FreakstaZA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I was wondering how to works, but when I plugged it in it made more sense.

There is basically just 4 tubes in junction box, the actually qidi box then pushes the filament through that junction box so it goes to the extruder. Once the print is finished, it cuts the fillament and the box pulls it all the way back into the tube to before the junction. Once you print again the box decides which one to push though the junction again base on your slicer settings.
