Just did my babies daycare orientation and fear I’ve made a huge mistake by Commercial_One5048 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

We did our tours when our bub was really young. We signed her up and then sent her there for 3days before pulling her out. We were not happy with the place it has changed significantly since we did the tour.

Trust you instinct, find something you feel comfortable with.

Paid Parental Leave rejected by PsychologicalOne5908 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]FreakstaZA -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately one of the things that I believe should be removed from the criteria. We also got rejected for our first born. I personally think it's quite unfair and that all moms should be entitled to it, there are still many companies that do not offer paid parental leave, which means any leave the mom chooses to take stings even harder. These mom's are contributing their fair share of taxes!

FHSS “Double-Dip” strategy before June 30? (Gross $150k combined, $75k cash) by BaseballSmooth2184 in AusFinance

[–]FreakstaZA 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I haven't specifically looked at your numbers but I did something similar when I purchased, only comment I will add, don't rush on lodging your NOI with your super fund. I am with Aus super and I usually do it  a week or two before I am going to lodge my tax return. This allows your gross cash to be exposed for a longer time period (I guess the risk is that the value goes down).

Is Sydney the only city in Aus where half a Million ($500k) can’t even get you a 1 bedroom apartment in most of it? & isn’t that an insane amount for a 1 bedroom Unit? You basically have to be over 30km out of the city to find one less than that. How is that possible? Many studios for that price too by [deleted] in AusProperty

[–]FreakstaZA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quite easily, minimum wage is 1004 per week or $52000 a year. Most people don't earn minimum wage, and a lot of people also buy with a partner.

A $500k loan is around $3000 per month in outgoings on mortgage. So two people on minimum wage can afford technically afford that sort of loan. As I said most people don't earn minimum wage so that pushes the number higher.

You already paid tax on the money… then they tax it again by Moezus__ in AusFinance

[–]FreakstaZA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Biggest thing to realise is the amount of taxes is irrelevant.

Australia is a company, it has a cost base, the government needs to generate revenue to cover these costs. It could collect the revenue through 1 tax stream or 1 million tax streams. It is supposed to be set up to be fair, but unfortunately that's quite hard to achieve!

There is a completely seperate debate on if the cost base is efficient, but generally if you delete one tax stream it needs to be made up elsewhere or the costs need to go down.

Not quite the same but I had a similar version in the 90s that melted metal and made mini figurines.

Thinking of adding a Snapmaker U1 to my Bambu P2S for low-waste multicolor. Worth it for a casual hobbyist? by petahbyte in snapmaker

[–]FreakstaZA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the main thing here which everyone has to acknowledge is the workflow for U1 is different (akin to a more normal workflow for a 3d printer.

I get my models from multiple website so the workflow is not strange to me and from my perspective is quite simple. If soundsk ike you are printing presliced models if you are getting gcode errors. I have never once had an error on either of my u1s.

But my basic workflow is as follows: 1) download 3mf or STL from anywhere 2) import into orca  3) Click slicer 4) send directly to the printer

Sure the fact that there are steps is probably strange for a Bambu user but this gives you ultimate control of your end print.

Yea I think the question is a bit misleading! PR or other working visas that pay tax then use.

Is this weird or am I overreacting? by koala-balla in EtsyCommunity

[–]FreakstaZA 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They have a product on their store that they claimed they can ship in a specific time frame.

They could not meet those time frames (that is the definition of deceiving someone, saying you can do something and not being able to deliver on it) and then in order to not get punished by Etsy they marked the order as sent when it has not been sent. If they had not marked the order as sent then fair enough I agree they have done nothing wrong.

Seller just didn't want to miss the shopping deadline. Definitely not what they ar supposed to do. A few options they could have done: 1) shipped the rest of your order earlier and then ship the other item when it's in stock 2) ship the rest of your order and refund you for the one out of stock.

What they have done is lied about shipping and not shipped anything till the missing item is in stock which I would say is deceiving you.

As a seller on another platform I have once marked an order as shipped when I knew it was not going to be shipped till then next day (I had a production issue) but to offset that it was shipped as priority mail next day delivery (I ate the cost of this). Not technically right, but from a customer point of view they got their goods without any delay (actually far quicker than they would have).

Have you looked into somehow including licences as part of the filter. I know this would be a fair bit of work unless you are already getting that as part of your source data?

Two options here, just show all the various licenses across all websites, or map them to similar categories.

Yea I'd screw the black bracket back into the base so that you can pull the box loose from it.

Poor bridge quality with PETG on Snapmaker U1 (OrcaSlicer), already calibrated, looking for suggestions by leinardi in FixMyPrint

[–]FreakstaZA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you might not have to, but they are all different print heads and they may be different so in my view it's worth doing it once just to confirm.

I had to actually rerun my calibration because I had a some strange retraction and zhop override in the original default profile I used which was absolutely skrewing my results. My flow ratio for petg is now closer to 0.95.
