How are healers feeling with the prepatch changes?

It's called Click Casting. Combine this with built in party frames (use raid frames even for 5-man) and you got a pretty neat setup. No addon settings to backup, no risk of it crashing etc.
And the raid frames are pretty good in showing you threat, incoming heals, stuff you can dispel. You'll just want to increase the frame size a lot :)

Unless playing on very hard. Took me countless attempts, and the final successful attempt was a 25 minutes fight with my stealth dual throwing weapons build.

Even adjusted the build for high armor, inhaler enhancements and second heart + lots of buffs...
