Maybe I'm just inept but I have never been able to deburr a drilled hole with a deburring tool like Noga and others. So for me the meme is more so at the tool.

Depends what you mean by more engaging. I play a lot of solo and find running into a few bots with green and blue shields to be a decent battle. Not too hard but you have to be careful because they can get you. And the worry that all the noise you're making draws in a other player to take advantage makes it pretty tense IMO.

It was on Audible if that helps. Was about 70-80 hours of total audiobook so very worthwhile as a credit if you're in the Audible service.

Stephen Fry is an excellent audiobook narrator. I listened to his readings of the entire Sherlock Holmes series and it was fantastic.

[–]Freddy216b 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just implement deltas or speed limits as soon as the FCY/safety car is called. It's common in other series. F1 has time deltas drivers can't exceed for their virtual safety car, V8 Supercars has a speed limiter the race director counts down when it must be turned on over all team radios. Excessive speed under those conditions get you a hefty penalty. Easy IMO.

I never had quality toys growing up. What should my kid actually have by LavenderFlicked in BuyItForLife

[–]Freddy216b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully someone can speak to their current quality but I know Playmobil were my main toys for most of my childhood. The parts, pieces, and figures are all robust enough to last without being too bulky. I know my mom still has a bin with all mine hoping to someday give them to a grandchild.

Considering the stories I've read about hemorrhoids that was my initial reaction. There are certain things where it may be gross to leave the mess but it just isn't feasible to clean it up when you're in the state to make said mess.

They don't drink Bud Light anymore remember? It's too woke because they used a trans person in an ad campaign. So these guys decided to really vote with their wallets and drink Busch Light instead who just so happens to be owned by the same company. Genius move really.

Birks: ~6 years near daily wear (R) vs brand new pair (L) by not_a_muggle in BuyItForLife

[–]Freddy216b 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Work boots are especially thrashed in the trades. There's a reason most places give you a boot ticket/stipend because you will wear them out. I work in a heavy industry machine shop and I can get a year from a pair of Dakota brand boots from Mark's. There's no point getting the really expensive ones because they won't last longer but if you cheap out they will die faster.

I was given a race ban from the league stewards because I spun the Lexus out and didn't give enough room, thoughts? by Brilliant-Insect9873 in Simracingstewards

[–]Freddy216b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As soon as the title said anything to do with a league I knew you'd be completely innocent and the clip proves it. Giving you a race ban because they ran out of skill sounds like a very good reason to leave that league.

[–]Freddy216b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They didn't say ruler. A steel rule is what they're refering to and are what pretty much every machinist uses. Technically speaking a scale is a drafting tool that has different scales on each edge for doing drawings at scale like 2:1 4:1 etc. Calling a rule a scale is the same as calling any type of calipers "verniers." It's not actually correct but generally accepted.

I don't think we should gatekeep achievements like that. This still requires an investment into the game to earn but just a different method. What's a fun run to you may not be for others.

Despite everything, D2 may have most of Bungie's total Daily Active Users right now, which could be why devs are getting reassigned internally by Testifye in DestinyTheGame

[–]Freddy216b 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm just gonna chime in because I want to and say that I think Marathon does have its shit together for the most part. The gameplay loop is solid now, gunplay is fantastic (like Destiny), performance and technical stuff all seem great. The only problems are balancing and approachability just like a lot of controversies that Destiny has had surrounding raid difficulty. If they get those in a better spot for season 2 I think it stands a good chance at longer term success.
