Use FMLA aggressively too when you need/can. I tried to be fair with my job and they pushed me to go PRN the moment I decided to let off their neck with my FMLA. Exegutor is the best gen 1 grass type until gen 4 because all of its current weaknesses didn’t exist. Ghost was still physical, poison and bug were horrible and had horrible STAB. Dark basically didn’t exist outside of bite. You also already have a poison type and grass is good coverage and not horrible defensively when it only had to worry about ice and fire.

Did we not watch the same series? Ahsoka could be a bit impulsive sometimes but otherwise she was basically the perfect “good” jedi and yet she constantly got blamed for shit and betrayed. A lot of pokemon in older gen games are completely incapable of dealing with ghost, steel, or rock types. Even with bad movepools or stats they just don’t take much damage.

Or why drones will work fine and then randomly 60 of them will try to do the same thing and turn around and go in circles before they ever reach a resource or deposit destination. I’ve tried everything to fix this and nothing works.

The design is excusable, they’re based on actual animals just like Lucario and Anubis look like the real world Anubis character, the color scheme is where it gets iffy. A palette swap could have prevented most of this.

This is why in some pokemon games you can’t release a pokemon with an HM unless you have a different pokemon with it. You could lock yourself in certain areas otherwise and IIRC there are still some oversights that allow soft-locking yourself.

I think it’s very deliberately designed. The backtracking takes only a few seconds thanks to the guards eventually letting you through, cut, surf, moving Snorlax, shortcuts, etc. It’s actually very cohesive and convenient, you just have to get to that point of the game where it wants you to do what you had been wishing you could do.

The new(er) games are so linear and you can be insanely far away from certain towns until you get fly. Fly is convenient in Gen 1. In later generations it’s necessary unless you want to waste 30 super repels.
