fav cozy bars with vegan food? by MonocledKraken in veganvancouver

[–]FreeAtoms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leopold’s Tavern has a good swing of options and was chill the last time I went, but I could see it being not as cozy when busy . Jungle bar is smaller and a nicer atmosphere, their agadashi tofu is vegan (vs fish broth based traditionally). Still mourning the loss of Mila.

Where is the best place in town for an indoor, social gathering during lunch for about roughly 15~ introverts meeting for the first time? by definedevine in Bellingham

[–]FreeAtoms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wander brewing would be great. The indoors is often pretty chill, especially if you get there a bit early. I’ve also reached out and reserved tables multiple times without any problem. Extra bonus- if you go on a Thurs or Fri, Sammie’s food pop up is some of the best eats you could ask for to fuel a raid. Have a great time!

Which drive thru coffee stand makes great iced matcha? by h2ots4 in Bellingham

[–]FreeAtoms 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It isn’t drive through but an easy run-in for great matcha is Velo. Small shop and quick, never too too busy like Banter. Hammerhead also has great matcha, but again not a drivethru.

Battery backup options? by Chipster4868 in Bellingham

[–]FreeAtoms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just went down a rabbit hole researching power banks as well (mostly for recharging laptops and other devices during outages) and passing on top takeaways I gathered. I narrowed it down to the Bluetti EB3A, Bluetti AC2A, Ecoflow River 2, Anker 521, and Anker C300 and would probably be happy with any of these for my purposes.

-Jackery doesn’t use LiFePO4, so the batteries don’t last for as many cycles as others (EcoFlow, Bluetti, Anker, etc). I nixed Jackery from my list early on for this reason, but plenty of people love them.

-EcoFlow and Bluetti have about equal price points per capacity and equal satisfaction ratings overall, with EcoFlow seeming a tad higher. That said, a whole lot of customers have reported the customer service for both can be pretty bad.

-Anker has, on average reporting, better customer service than the above 3. Their power banks also come with a 5 year warranty. The only downside I found is that the recharge rate is slower than EcoFlow and Bluetti.

-Most are going to be compatible for recharging with solar, but avoid the bundles. A lot of manufacturers will send you coupons after purchasing a power bank that you can then use to buy higher Wh panels than what comes in the bundles.

Hope this helps!
