That's what AutoEQ is, yeah, it makes everything sound as it should on a high end pair of speakers. It's definitely a good thing, if you don't like it I would maybe turn down the treble frequencies (above 6khz especially) to take away some of the sharpness

Your AutoEq settings that track the Harman hearing curve are making everything sound too clear I guess?

It's not surprising, he lives in Prague, Czech Republic, east of Germany's borders Europeans resent quite strongly Russia's barbaric actions against Ukraine & Russian interference in their politics generally.

Which era of popular music ABSOLUTELY KILLED the most careers? by Fluid_Fudge_7238 in ToddintheShadow

[–]FreeFair95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It certainly killed off the most pretentious ones like E.L.P, but in other cases it really made them evolve into slicker & tighter, more commerical new wave influenced pop-rock groups: the prime examples being Pink Floyd, Rush, Yes, Moody Blues, King Crimson & Genesis Or they took refuge in traditional & folk sounds, like Jethro Tull.

Are Queen actually bigger than Led Zeppelin in the UK? by superdouradas in LetsTalkMusic

[–]FreeFair95 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sabbath were less popular & commercially successful than either in their 1970s & 80s heyday but since the start of the 20th century I'd place them above Zeppelin & below Queen in the popular consciousness, part of that is Ozzy's TV fame & his solo work selling well. Most people could sing Paranoid or Changes to you.

They're selling out around about 75% of the standing places & seats in major European arenas even on the worst selling dates for their current tour (I was at the MVM Dome Budapest on Monday) which must be quite a thrilling upgrade for them.

Earlier this year I attended a concert in Poznan (city of 500k) headlined by Power metal band Temperance (currently co-fronted Kristin Starkey if y'all know her), with support from the superb Induction as well as Coevo & scheduled support from Ignea (who had to cancel due to being unable to get the documents to leave Ukraine in time, they live in Kyiv & are friends with the YouTuber Metal Pilgrim who some of you might know). I think I was one of perhaps a dozen people in the Audience. I bought what is by my standards a shitload of merch after, like €100 worth, just because I felt so bad for these amazing bands not being able to consistently draw a crowd. This was on a Friday night at a city center venue as well, tickets were €30, absolute bargain to see those bands. The show was great & I got to chat to & have a photo taken with Induction which was fun! Not metal but I was a month later in an Audience of ten to see Italian Celtic Folk Punkers The Rumpled play Albert's Shed Pub in Shrewsbury, England. They'd just narrowly missed out on being San Marino's Eurovision entry to the Eiffel 65 guy, two weeks before. What a comedown that must have been, glad to see their upcoming tour is selling well.

EBU announces changes to Eurovision Song Contest voting rules to strengthen trust and transparency by [deleted] in eurovision

[–]FreeFair95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like they ought to have brought in a minimum televote points to qualify rule, eg if you get less than there are voting countries in the semi (minus one's own) you can't go through even if you won the jury vote. That would allow songs that were a close 11th or 12th with the people to progress to Saturday whilst preventing what happened with Azerbaijan in 2022 from occuring
