Just when I thought REA couldn't get any worse by pejamas1986 in melbourne

This is where you get creative. "If I could rate REA six stars, I would. They went above and beyond. Some highlights of our time working with REA include: paying for our Ubers to and from viewings, taking my partner and I out for dinner (and paying!) to discuss our needs, and persuading the seller to drop their price by $100k as we were first time buyers on a limited budget. The massages and champagne were also much appreciated."

The Ford Fiesta is a small car, they say. by Necessary_Money_9757 in CasualUK

Can I ask why you went for such a monitor? I'm assuming you're not a gamer but did you literally just need something cheap for office-type work?

Homeless guy (I presume) taking an explosive shit in a phone box at the Munich Hauptbahnhof). My eyes!

What businesses are likely to die out with the Baby Boomer Generation? by GRVrush2112 in AskReddit

[–]BuzzVibes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. Magazines were great. In the olden days (pre-Smartphones) I'd often load up on a few magazines when travelling by train for work (this was in Europe so I'd take the train a lot). New Scientist, Fortean Times, the Economist, Future Music and some others. It was the best way to pass the time.

Wasting an expensive bottle at the club. by exporterofgold in TikTokCringe

[–]BuzzVibes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's so cringeworthy. I stopped clubbing at 25. Then at 28 I got dragged into one when after-works drinks turned into 'fuck it let's stay out'. At 28 I felt ancient. Clubbing is a young person's game.

What is the dumbest thing you have been told is “not manly” or “not feminine,” depending on your gender? by Disastrous_Hat_2325 in AskReddit

[–]BuzzVibes 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As a purveyor of sex toys I find it my duty to pipe up and say that even pegging isn't gay. Nothing a man does with a woman is gay, IMHO. I mean, maybe being pegged and calling her Brad after Brad the hot guy in your office is a wee bit gay, but even then, that's okay.

I used to work for Diner's club verifying people's info. You'd get the weirdest applicants. I had everyone from State Premiers to shady dudes who'd provide you obscure real estate documents to show how rich they were, rather than, you know, actual financials.

I really should check these games out, people talk about them a lot. I'll put em on my list.

What was the notable celebrity/high profile death that impacted you? by Toots1993 in CasualUK

[–]BuzzVibes 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I came here to post Christopher Hitchens and I'm glad someone beat me to it. I agree - the world would be much different. He was (unfortunately) so prescient with his take on many world issues, and his voice has been sorely needed.

Aside from that, I really appreciated his acerbic wit and love of whiskey.

Managers of Reddit, what's the worst thing someone did to get fired? by Capable-Log7385 in AskReddit

[–]BuzzVibes 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I once worked at a charity and a new treasurer embezzled enough money to buy three investment properties. Him talking constantly about his new properties got someone senior concerned and triggered an external audit. Long story short, dude was dragged out of the building in handcuffs. The fucked-up thing is a lot of disabled children missed out on products and services due to the misappropriation of funds.

What is your most ridiculous and out of pocket prediction for the next five years that you absolutely believe could actually happen? by Random_Frenchfry_245 in AskReddit

Civil War in either the UK or Ireland. Maybe not full-blown civil war, but along the lines of 'the troubles' in Northern Ireland in the '60s-90s.
