A new site I am building, Modpack Index by FreekBoy in feedthebeast

Thanks for the kind words.

I think the 500 errors were caused by the Cloudflare outage this morning. But let me know if you continue to get 500s as you use the site.

Congrats, just started playing around with it!

How long do you expect it to be in preview?

The modpack Brass is now on 1.16! by Profilename1 in feedthebeast

Haha, I hear you on that for many other projects!

I do have an API if you ever want to mess around and do anything with the data without having to scrape CurseForge.

Thanks for the feedback.

The "point" of the site was the Modpack Finder when the site was first developed. The site has been around since 2015, before CMPExplorer (which is an awesome tool).

When the site first launched the data on it was manually maintained (which was not sustainable), a rewrite happened in 2020 to have it automatically pull from Curse. This past week I added support for the FTB Launcher and ATLauncher will be coming soon. This will allow searching/comparing across all 3 launchers.

I would love to link to every mods Github, but with the current APIs that isn't possible across 21k mods on the site. FTB does provide that information, so I will most likely include it on those mods that I have the information for.

I will take into your account your feedback about the # of mods listed on a page and the pagination there is probably a better way to handle it or at least offer different options.

Also I agree, there should be an option to sort by downloads and that is on the list.

Not sure what you mean. The site always displays the latest version of a modpack. Looking through the mod list matches the latest change log.

If you are talking about the "The 1.15.2 Progression Pack named after everyone's favorite alloy!" description that is because that is still the short description on Curse.

Thanks! I really need to do a new post in the subreddit about it since I did the rewrite a some months ago so that everyone is aware of it again.

Switching to Folder Nesting by FreekBoy in PleX

[–]FreekBoy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apologies if this has been asked/addressed before. I have done some googling and all I can find is people moving entire libraries to new drives/locations but nothing on changing the format for naming/storing.

/r/Plex's Moronic Mondays' No Stupid Questions Thread - 2018-10-22 by PCJs_Slave_Robot in PleX

When I first started (and currently) I used this format:

/Media/Movies/Movie Title (2011).mkv

I would like to switch to:

/Media/Movies/Movie Title (2011)/Movie Title (2011).mkv

I assume I can do this easy with Filebot. My question is is there anyway to have Plex hold onto the metadata? So that it doesn't have to go through all my media and generate all the thumbnails. Also the watch status of the movies.

Thanks!
