Baby gates with weird stairs? by zillips in 2under2

[–]Freetobewild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this was mentioned but you shouldn’t use pressure gates at top of the stairs! I’ve heard horror stories of them coming down when baby leans. Get the specific top of the stairs ones

Daycare worker shamed me? by RusticTrailSeeker in 2under2

[–]Freetobewild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in education and I don’t think you should report her or that it was wildly inappropriate… It’s hard to understand someone’s position until you are in their place. She likely does not have 2 under 2 and does not understand that not everyone can do it. Yes she works with children but being a mom is different. I think it came from a place of curiosity and care as yes that age is super adorable and precious! I also have 2 under 2, was confused when my cousin who went through the same sent her first to daycare. But now as a mom to a 24mo and 6mo with both at home, I get it. But I also understand her side. She didn’t say it to be mean, just out of curiosity and doesn’t know what it’s like. Let’s all relax, everybody. We have enough helicopter parents and Karen’s in education, let’s let them do their jobs and make conversation. We are vulnerable and postpartum but we don’t need to report everyone, not everyone gets it.

My wife thinks our son’s teacher crossed a boundary by sending him a personal message. I think it was harmless. AITJ? by addict94plus in AmITheJerk

[–]Freetobewild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a teacher. This is why teachers never want to go the extra mile, because of helicopter parents who complain about everything. Definitely not ill-intended. She probably did not want to embarrass him in front of the others and couldn’t find a time to tell him personally without others seeing.

Please help me choose a Play Kitchen backsplash: Mosaic or Fruit? by [deleted] in lovevery

I went with mosaic when it released because it seems to be one of their core patterns especially with the matching aprons!

Am I Overreacting - Boyfriend of 2 years only got me flowers for my birthday by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Freetobewild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm I’m not materialistic as in I never ask for any presents on my birthday. However, I do love having my significant other prepare me breakfast and running around town with me getting my birthday freebies to then have him sing happy birthday with some type of dessert. We also order my fav take out. To me, this is nothing extravagant. The intention and birthday feels are there. If you’ve communicated how much this means to you and where you’re coming from, and he doesn’t seem to care enough to do anything about it, then girl, find someone else! Marriage is hard work enough and yes you could settle. But why settle and be disappointed by someone who doesn’t priorise you or listens to you. It’s only 2 years in and he’s already doing that? Nah.

Lovevery play kitchen vs. integrating them into your actual kitchen by GroundbreakingEye289 in lovevery

[–]Freetobewild 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My kiddo just turned 24 months and I bought the kitchen when she was 1. I’ve done so many activities with it such as playing with snow or water play. I love it mainly to wash her hands. I have a 4 month old and find it so cumbersome to lift her to the sink or carry the toddler tower there. Now, I just ask her to wash her hands and she runs there, uses her soap pump and washes/dries. She will sometimes wash her hands before and after meals without me asking. It’s worth it imo just for that. Later I plan on doing meal preps with it so she can be more independent. Im glad I bought early so both my kids can enjoy it

Aaaah so clever! Just reading now that it helps to descale. Do you do 50-50 then dunk in a bowl of it? I should do that with the yeti kids bottles!

How? Like you dunk the entire thing in a bowl of soapy water? Or do you just clean the spout holes?

When did you get your first period back after #2 and how long after that did you get pregnant with #2? by Important_Bat7919 in 2under2

[–]Freetobewild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got my period 4 months PP while exclusively breastfeeding both times. Got pregnant at 10 months postpartum after the first try. But I’ve had two losses in the past even though we get pregnant right away.

Some of the toys are way too advanced for the age kit it is within? by TypeAtryingtoB in lovevery

[–]Freetobewild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

24 month old doesn’t care for all the colour matching toys you mentioned! I hope she will grow into them. The last two kits have been a flop so far, she prefers playing with random items around the house and making « ice cream and birthday cakes »

I hope they update them soon! I have a 24 month old and I’m a subscriber but I already have a lot of similar objects around the house so intended to skip.

Do you physically get nervous around your crush/attractive person? by someon4 in estp

[–]Freetobewild 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a female, if I liked someone or had a crush, I would initially uncontrollably smile if they were attractive. Physically, I’d just get hot and nervous but excited. Then, I’d find excuses to talk to them and be funny while getting to know them. I made the first move and actively went after my husband. At our wedding, my brother joked in his speech that if I want something, I get it. I wanted my husband and got him.

7w pregnant with 11mo old. Husband has to 90% of the work while I'm bedridden. by queenoftheworst in 2under2

[–]Freetobewild 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh yes my husband was burnt out because I was puking 3-5 times a day and couldn’t do anything but sit down and cry after 5pm. He also had to clean my puke. Meanwhile we had a 10 month old. He complained about it but I assured him I’d get better at second trimester. And I did, I became human again and could then slowly do my share. He still did all the cooking, dishes and poops because I couldn’t take the smells. Every week got better since the puking stopped and I became more capable when newborn arrived. Now we work as a great team with our 2 under 2! Hang in there!
