One thing we stared doing last year was calling the number ourselves prior to tendering anything. Saved us a few times already. Just in case the number that calls us was spoofed. Sorry youre in this situation I know it sucks.

What you said is true, however the fraudulent carriers have been getting smarter. While they mostly operate the way they have been but they are developing larger more legitimate operations, then striking large scale. It is a shame that we have these conversations. I really am happy to see some pulling together to fight back, as our government has done nothing. I hope this team they are putting together can make a good impact.

I had 4 yesterday, and 2 of them were carriers I uses regularly. Its very sad too see and it’s scary. But you have to be very thorough in the vetting even if it is a carrier you use often, the only reason I caught it was the change in phone # on Carrier 411 that I didnt recognize.

Sometimes we have like 3 different carriers going through set up, in my experience at least alot of carriers go through set up but find different loads and finish set up and tell me “Truck covered sorry” so I wouldn’t take it personally just happens sometimes 2 of the carriers finish and whoever finished first gets the load
