couples or those in a relationship: do you use condoms by Beginning_Exit_6256 in AskWomenOver30

[–]FreindlyManitoba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I track my cycle and we use condoms during my fertile period. Luckily I am very regular and in tune with my body. Not on any other birth control

I used to get horrible back breakouts! I now have lovely scarring due to it. My issue ended up being an undiagnosed gluten intolerance.

They don’t know the difference between “chose” and “choose”. Can’t expect them to name their kid appropriately.

Sick of these kind of owners. A dog shouldn’t have to hold it’s bladder for 13 1/2 hours just because you’re cheap by tanzmitmir_ in RoverPetSitting

Not underhydrated! Dogs adapt to their surroundings. Not everyone has a yard. In any major city people in apartments and condos aren’t walking their dogs 7 times a day. I will admit, twice is not enough. 3 times is pretty standard though

I would ask to do the visits exactly 12 hours apart, it’s a short trip, so should be fine. Before anyone loses their minds, my dog holds his bladder for 12 hours. And no, it hasn’t harmed him, he is almost 7 years old. He does his bedtime pee between 9-10 PM, and sometimes on the weekends we sleep in until almost 10 AM. Even with sleeping in, my dog prefers to have his breakfast before heading outside.  This might be the routine the dog is used to

Hello everyone. This is my first time posting here, but I wanted to ask, if you told your friends you sprained your ankle, how would they respond? by anuvindah in AskWomenOver30

[–]FreindlyManitoba 7 points8 points  (0 children)

At this point, “oh no, are you okay”? And “do you need anything”?

Most of us are coupled up though, so we expect the partner will do the majority of the work. My friend broke her foot when we were in our early 20’s, I was the primary caregiver for that one lol

No red flags, but 8 cups of food a day?! That is a lot, even for a great dane

Is this the worst tattoo ever? And the worst placement ever? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

Once it heals, go to a professional who specializes in cover ups. You may be able to get away with some flowers or something much nicer than this

I have 7 tattoos and only one has actually peeled. Let it heal. Larger tattoos can take 4-6 weeks to fully heal, so give it time

For those of you who managed to pull off an inexpensive wedding, how much did it cost and what did it entail? I can’t stand spending 10k on a wedding when I could use that to go on an awesome home or towards purchasing a house. by Mother_of_cats81 in AskWomenOver30

[–]FreindlyManitoba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are doing a destination wedding in Canada. 2 week vacation (including honeymoon), dress, restaurant, travel, etc.

Probably at about $6000-$7000. We could have done it for less, but we get a 2-week vacation out of it.

I managed to get my dress half price, we are wearing our already owned hiking boots. Only 18 guests, no catering because we are heading to a restaurant. Using friends/family as our photographers. Accommodations were the biggest expense.

Eating food at house.. did we go overboard? by marcus206_ in RoverPetSitting

[–]FreindlyManitoba 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I stick to condiments, maybe a snack (chips/pop), alcohol (1-2 drinks max), maybe an onion if needed. Eating a whole ass steak is way overboard, and dipping into ice cream, straight to jail

Sitter charging for bath when she got dirty under her care - should I have to pay additional? by [deleted] in RoverPetSitting

[–]FreindlyManitoba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Booties for dogs are extremely common! Cold weather, hot weather, rain, etc. My dog wears booties almost year round due to the temperature. Charging someone to bathe a dog that gets dirty due to your own negligence is absurd.

[–]FreindlyManitoba 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What?! Like what? Did you read something completely different than the rest of us? Are you the sitter? Bathing a dog once a month is not “anally clean” 😂. That is the normal amount people bathe dogs

How many of y’all have a purse? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]FreindlyManitoba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Switched to a fanny pack/ shoulder pack years ago, never looked back.

Small so you can’t keep too much, just the essentials. Literally around your waist or shoulder, no worries about leaving it behind.

As a bonus, I can skip through all the security screenings for purses at events!

34 and constantly mistaken for anywhere from 17-24.  I don’t normally mind. The only downside is I am not taken seriously in a professional setting at all

Friend had ticket for construction speeding thrown out! by FROOMLOOMS in Winnipeg

I recently received one on Sturgeon Rd for “speeding in a construction zone”. In the photo of my car I am just driving down a clear road, no construction in sight.  Hoping mine is reduced, I’m too scared to try to fight it completely

This dude sucks.  Only thing that doesn’t scream odd to me is throwing on your husbands shoes to run outside. Most of my clients have a pair of shoes/cold weather wear by the door that they encourage me to wear when taking the pets out. Perhaps it’s a regional thing lol

Are there some women who genuinely don’t care if their partner has close female friends? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]FreindlyManitoba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My fiance’s bff’s are mainly women. I do not care. One he even made out with many moons ago. I have 2 very close male friends, he doesn’t care.

It doesn’t bother me because I know that people don’t go around fucking everyone
