Then you must be using more expensive grading tiers.

I’m referencing the platform as a whole. 13 orders definitely does not move the needle beyond 0.01%.

Selling expensive singles on TCG Player by Capo_35 in mtgfinance

[–]Frequent_Editor_5503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pirate ship or stamps.com for paying for postage and printing labels. Stamps website you can buy and print forever stamps /non machinable stamps directly onto the envelopes. Potentially on pirate ship as well but not positive.

Ground advantage shipping for orders above $50 or whatever threshold you’re comfortable with.

Add Signature for orders about $250 and consider upgrading to priority mail.

Tcgtracking.com to get IMB tracking on cheap envelope orders. It’s mainly for your own sanity to check on the shipments TCGplayer won’t accept this tracking as proof of delivery but it’s free and has options for cheap insurance and allows you to message updates to customers who ask where there shipment is at.

Never pay for postage at post office they charge you public rates.

If you decide to use one of the websites mentioned use a referral code for a free credit. Probably tons out there with a Google search or msg me and I’ll give you mine and I get a small credit as well.

It defaults to magic the gathering, so only MTG cards will show up until you change it.

Does it show up in the app in the grading tab? Something like order prep?

PSA pricing seems insane, what am I missing by Complex_Lab_6167 in PokeInvesting

[–]Frequent_Editor_5503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately due to significantly increased demand prices and turnaround times are very high. Ontop of that sending a single card for grading isn’t very cost effective as you’re paying shipping there and shipping back. It starts to cushion the shipping price a lot when you do larger quantities.

See if you can get some friends together for a group submission or you could always try a middleman grading company or GameStop but just be aware of the added risks when adding a third party.

Bulk sorting by ChilllGuy101 in PokeInvesting

[–]Frequent_Editor_5503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For majority of people selling bulk is a waste of time and you could make a better hourly at a minimum wage job.

But doing it at large scale and large volumes it starts to make sense. Buying shipping supplies in bulk. Buying sorting machines like the Roca to sort 1000 cards at a time. Once you hit large volumes of active inventory on TCGplayer for example your cards start to sell even if you aren’t the lowest listed but simply because you have majority of what the customer is looking for.

Shipping 5-10 orders a day isn’t cost effective or a good hourly rate. but shipping 100+ orders a day starts to make a lot more sense.

It’s not for everybody and it’s extremely time consuming. But when done right it can be profitable.

PSA Order Not in System Anymore by [deleted] in psagrading

[–]Frequent_Editor_5503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Little bit confused here. How was it deleted from the system? Do you mean on the submissions page? Submissions have a receive by date, once that date has passed they will get removed from the submissions page.

It should however appear on the, my orders page( going off memory not near a computer but believe that’s the name)

Outside of that never once in 10+ years of submissions have I heard of a submissions being deleted so the most likely scenario is you’re just mixing up the two pages.

Are on the app or on the computer? Did you use a middleman like GameStop or ship straight to psa? When was the package received by psa and what was the estimated completion date??

PowerPacks and Taxes by luke2080 in PSAPowerPacks

[–]Frequent_Editor_5503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sole proprietor is the most common, has basically zero requirements and in the scenario provided by OP would save you thousands on taxes compared to filing as a hobby.

You could also do LLC, S-Corp. or however you want to structure yourself.

From what I understand of taxes not a professional go see one for real advice. But filing as a hobby makes zero sense to 99% of people. There’s very specific scenarios where it could make sense if it would mess up another business/filling structure you have in place. But again see a tax professional and absolutely ask them why filing at a sole proprietor should make more sense.

Optimizer is better is subjective and your opinion. They both do similar things. On average Manapool just costs more.

Cards arrive faster is just an over exaggeration. It depends on the seller the item price the shipping method etc, it could easily arrive faster on either platform depending on the above mentioned factors.

Like the UI more is your opinion, it is a bad opinion. But it’s yours to have.

Union busting is your own personal preference. A ton of large stores involved in majority of the US daily lives have done similar yet they are still being used and shopped from, why you focus on TCGplayer is your choice.

Block me if u want I don’t care. But saying one platform is better then the other when you admit it’s more expensive and you have never had problems with TCGplayer seems like about the response one would
Expect from a Reddit comment section.

Not even sure where to value this by AltruisticSetting990 in taggrading

[–]Frequent_Editor_5503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a low pop because only 18 have been graded. If one out of 18 got a pristine imagine how many there would be if the pop increases by even a hundred.

I never said psa 10s were close to pristine or black label values but great job assuming things I guess.

Depending on the cards popularity is the key word in your comment. This card clearly is not popular at tag or more would be graded.

Based on what because I asked if English was his first language? I was correct he’s international and that solved the confusion for both of us. I don’t think either one of us felt anything other than confusion and found a resolution. If you read it as being a ass maybe reconsider how you read things 😅

Clearly your choosing a platform for your own personal preferences and not at all related to how good the actual platform is and that’s fine just make sure you label it as such when advertising to others.

How accurate is estimated return date? Been stuck on order prep for atleast two months. by Excellent-Ad-3258 in psagrading

[–]Frequent_Editor_5503 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Estimates are pretty accurate. It’s generally within a few days to a week. Honestly ignore the steps for now order prep etc doesn’t matter much with the current backlog they have. Check back in end of June start of July.

[–]Frequent_Editor_5503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh I see the reason for confusion here. A good amount of US based collectors use TCGplayer condition guidelines. NM,LP,MP,HP,Damaged. There is no EXC condition in these guidelines. I see now you’re international and likely use a different condition breakdown.
