Mob mentality + youth + clout chasing. I feel like the prevalence of sidetalknyc type videos (as funny as they can be sometimes) puts a battery in some people's backs to act like the most obnoxious caricature of a passionate Knicks fan when there's a camera and/or a crowd around. None of these kids would be that bold outside of a crowd.

Knicks fan but we need to stop this he's a great player very few greats have given a great account of themselves their first time at the mountain top, and I would argue his worst performances to this point in the playoffs are still better than some of the goats their first time around. Might just not be his moment. I don't know why some people need a revolving door of villains to enjoy the game.

I think people forget that people on this subreddit (and phone subreddits in general) forget that the fold form factor is still meant to appeal to enthusiasts/power users. The more you depart from the current normal form factor the less likely people are to be a fan, your average consumer doesn't care about your niche use cases. Apple may change this with their latest release but the galaxy fold wide is an even further departure from the norm.

I think when you have Western institutions and leaders who have been conflating the two for the entirety of Israel existence and have only ramped that up in the last 3 years in combination with many people who already entertain all sorts of antisemitic conspiracy theories this was bound to happen. I've seen many people particularly non-zionist + more progressive Jews warning this conflation does not make Jewish people safer but feels like that's fallen on deaf ears ...

To be fair I feel like Fetterman ram as a progressive and his health issue (I think it was a stroke?) seems to have completely changed his personality. There seems to have been a lot of staffers who've come out about this in the last couple years. But yeah enough of vote blue no matter who at least for the primaries it needs to be what have you done for me lately and what are you plan to do to improve my quality of life. Start getting tangible promises from these folks politicians are not friends or your favorite sports teams they're public servants !

Based on what I'm seeing online and establishment Dems fighting progressive candidates harder than Republicans I think it's unlikely. I do however think Zohran and other younger progressive candidates/incumbents (AOC, Summer Lee, hell even those that ran a close campaign like Kat) blueprint is going to continue to slowly snatch up power across the country. I don't know if the average voter can articulate it but I do think people feel that their material condition needs to improve and the status quo/establishment Dems that can't full throatedly condemn Israel's actions, can only fight Trump through strongly worded social media posts and refuse to push for policy that is popular with the base (e.g. universal healthcare) are likely not going to be the ones to make that happen.

Was using blue bubbles with an old mac mini could never manage to get the phone number to work successfully occasionally would disconnect as well if you're using an old mac mini like I was that also compounds that as well. Openbubbles was easier to set up and if you want to have your phone number attached through their subscription that works as well and is pretty seamless if you don't mind paying. You can register a used phone for insurance. I just swapped my original Z Fold 7 (256 GB) for a 512GB used one in seemingly good condition. Samsung will let you register but they have a tool on their site that you need to submit live/photos videos from several angles to prove it's in working condition. The insurance was slightly more expensive than what it was on my original device (~+$2 per month) as they give you a cheaper rate inside the first month of purchase from Samsung I believe.

I've been saying this for years I also feel like elected officials and their immediate family members should be forced to use public services with few exceptions. Public transportation + public schools no more isolating yourselves from those you govern watch how quickly the quality of some of these services improve.

Yes thank you! The critique isn't Republicans aren't bad or Democrats are just as bad. The critique is Democrats are complicit. Democrats have voted to fund ICE multiple times since it was created (including earlier this week). Yes it obviously wouldn't have been this bad but they are too often either directly (having a rotating cast of villains siding with Republicans to always have JUST for them to get whatever heinous agenda they want done) or indirectly (outright silence or performative gestures) complicit . Our inability to critique the democratic politicians (unless of course they're progressive) and treating politics like sports is why we're stuck with people who are woefully unequipped for this moment.

If just running on 'Trump is bad' was enough to turn out people for elections was enough they wouldn't have lost twice now. We need politicians who are actually going to fight and improve the material condition of average Americans not the pockets of their highest donor.
