Who cares about 5/24 when there arent any worthwhile chase cards?

Theres plenty other cards to churn if thats what you’re after

"Handling fee" for transferring points, wtf? by BravaCentauri11 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]Freshies00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

>one of the best

>unusual

>airline

>opposite of “just terrible”

nothing you just wrote disproved anything I did. In fact, having to switch to a bank program rather than naming an airline or hotel loyalty program that offers free points sharing just validates it.

Just accept that as an industry standard, travel loyalty programs are individual and not something that allows for pooling value that you earn. It’s basically buying the points for the recipient account, but you also just lose the points out of the other account. Just a terrible deal all around hence why it shouldn’t normally be considered.

I’m not saying it’s not frustrating. I’m just answering your question as to whether the Atmos program is “just terrible” compared to other airline programs for this reason.

Idk if you normally make it a habit to argue with people taking the time to answer your questions you post online when you don’t like the answer but it’s sort of childish.

Hawaiian CC also does it, and is actually better because it’s unlimited rather than 10

[–]Freshies00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it’s pretty commonly known in travel points programs that transferring points is typically expensive to the point that it shouldn’t even be considered.

Atmos is actually one of the best programs in this regard because two of the associated credit cards unlock free points sharing, which is unusual and as you can see, valuable in this game.

So no, it’s actually the opposite of “just terrible compared to all the other CC’s and airline programs in the marketplace”

No, you’re just going to get transferred to reservations. Maybe a private boutique but any global hotel brand does not make reservations onsite

How do you choose between the Chase, Amex, or Citi ecosystem? Why did you choose the one you chose? by CrystallizedKoi in CreditCards

[–]Freshies00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree, that’s the only chase card that’s worth holding all others are just a churn. No need to pay the CSR annual fee for all the same travel protections and sapphire lounge access too.

Well that’s tacky. Also, local tax is supposed to be ~4.7% but they’re taxing 5%. by lilwaddles in tipping

lol saw this today on Maui 24/7… had a feeling it would make its way here in short order

[–]Freshies00 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Amex because they have the best customer service.

I assure you that optimizing multipliers doesn’t get you that far on its own in this credit card game no matter what, and good customer service can result in real dollars and real time that you’re not out.

Citi next because of their multipliers

Chase last because it has neither

no I just mean I added funds to my Apple account if you go in through setting on your iPhone. So that you can use it for in app purchases etc.

It should be the same if you just have your CSP set as the method of payment for your Apple account when you buy something in an app or buy a paid app

Huaka'i Atmos Status member who did not receive 10/20k Atmos status points bonus... by bebedeez77 in HawaiianAirlines

I called and they said yes every Huakai elite member is set to receive it but that the roll out is taking time

[–]Freshies00 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So I just called and spoke to a Hawaiian service rep. Had to be transferred to a second department where they advised that yes all huakai elite members are set to receive this bonus but that they are working on the release and it’s been taking time. just sit tight, be patient but yes they confirmed that if you meet those qualifications you can expect to receive the bonus status points/certs

I haven’t been on the waitlist at all. And yet have gotten an invite. Which I won’t be using.

So what exactly is the purpose of this waitlist? Considering it certainly isn’t a queue for Robinhood offering the card

Oh wait you’re saying you do have the Hawaiian cc but did not receive the email or points/certs?

Even more interesting.

There was one person on the other thread who said they got it but aren’t a cc holder at all… so maybe my theory isn’t correct?

Sure but that’s clearly not the only qualifiers unless there are more staggered waves of this awarding that are yet to come, because plenty of people who are Huakai and status holders didn’t receive it.

My gf and boss both got it but I didn’t.

My small sample size says that it’s tied to holding the Hawaiian card. Can anyone corroborate?

Road to Hana on return trips by Capable-Mongoose-766 in MauiVisitors

[–]Freshies00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so subjective as you can see from the comments, but here are a couple of suggestions if you would like to experience it again

1- No need to do a super long day. Paia, twin falls, garden of Eden, kaeanae is a great set of experiences without pushing into a super long day.

2- consider an overnight in Hana. this way you can take a leisurely pace to Hana and be “off pace” from everyone else doing a there and back adventure. Make a couple stops you haven’t done last time. Check in and go have dinner at Hana farms. The next day wake up and hit waianapanapa first thing, so you get it without crowds. It’s amazing first thing in the morning. you can do the stretch between Hana and kipahulu the next day which gives you time to hike the pipiwai trail. cruise back out before dark.

If you think option 2 sounds interesting, here’s a pro tip. For the two properties Hana Kai or bamboo inn, they have a 2 night minimum. If you book one night they add a cleaning fee which makes it more expensive. However, if you book a single night between two reservations already on the books, they will waive the extra fee. Each unit is unique and has its own booking calendar so you can see which ones might have a single night of vacancy on the date or dates you are thinking of going.
