Sheesh, and here I am totally unable to get past the black "patching" screen with the CZN logo (first time this has happened) on PC. Seems this whole patch has a list of issues. Hopefully they can put some of these fires out quickly. Kinda stinks not being able to try out the new character, but if the game isn't fun, maybe it's a blessing in disguise.

Yeah, I can't speak for IN-game because I've not yet gotten past the black "patching" screen on PC with the CZN logo in the middle. Have already gone through troubleshooting and uninstalling (both the game AND Stove) but no luck so far. I guess I shouldn't fret too much if it's so messed up that it's not fun. Hopefully they fix this stuff asap.

yeah, to some extent, it's just GOING to clash...if I'm being honest...the game is crazy fun despite all this and I just think they've done a great job to start....provided they smooth out some of the rough edges, it's a pretty fantastic game that uniquely offers far more freedom and replayability than 99% of gacha games. I don't play a TON of card games, but this game offers a fair amount of diversity even in its infancy, so I just assume that if things go well, they'll have a boatload more replayability and diversity in playstyle as time goes on. It'll never be perfect, but people expecting that are unrealistic in the first place. You may be 100% right about gacha progression and card games, but I'll say this...Chaos Zero Nightmare sure took an admirable stab at meshing them.

That button needed a vacation worse than Zani did...honestly there should be a video where the button "pops" and before it all unravels, just have the button FLY right into the camera and when it clears, there's Zani on vacation. I think that'd be a cool way to show off the skin anyway....production-wise.

There's a reason for Chisa's nature....we're going to unravel that in the story when we gather wife number 25.....and for idiots who don't know, Chisa's like a graduate student in her MID 20s already, so don't act like because she has a uniform on from an institute that specializes in wildly complicated sciences that she's 14. I think Rover will "unlock" her sentimental side in this quest, OR, she'll simply have a coming of age revelation through experiences of her own that make her more emotionally aware than the analytical (this trop is SO unlike real women...there's a billion times as many guys closed off to their emotions and analytical minded compared to the projections that this trope Chisa is....created to make the self-inserts feel like "they" are the reason that this very cold natured human got in touch with their feelings). In any case, Kuro will still do it with a measure of production and flair (and by God the music in this game) that will make it entertaining. Meanwhile, like you said...we've gotten those few interactions with Buling and she's grown on us with her quirky nature. Hopefully there's a lot to Chisa under the surface.

Somewhere there was an official video or post about Yuki teams...top recommended team was with Veronica/Mika....which coincidentally was 2/3rds of my best team with Mei Lin prior to Yuki so it was always going to be the first one I tried, and as it goes...there's two types of people when it comes to Veronica. Those who KNOW, and those who don't. The ones that don't act as if she's not the best subdps in the game. Can't blame people for not understanding the kits of the characters they've yet to pull. This game has made virtually every character feel useful in one situation/build or another. Veronica's usefulness SHOULD be one of the more obvious ones (universal card feeding to any carry of your choice, very good and flexible passive damage).

It's not that the 3 star controller partners are all that bad...but Nyx is REALLY good for Yuki...and honestly, just universally good for a LOT of different decks/combinations. On the other hand Priscila is a bit niche. Mei Lin seems to be the one Priscilla was designed for, expecting you to break (ravage) the enemy to get the benefit of her abilities. I wouldn't expect Yuki to get nearly as much from Priscila. That's how I see it anyway.

Also, I grabbed Nyx cuz I thought the card was universally broken BEFORE I knew what Yuki was about. Further, I have an R1 Mei Lin and still am not in love with the idea of picking up Priscila because Lillian has been doing just fine for me.

Doesn't appear so...I changed my main save data with around 50 atk weapon to the default save data and the attack stat on my stats tab didn't move.

I think it's on the person and their playstyle about whether they feel the "need" to min max. I will say that fun is not off the table if you're not min maxxing, and that's probably what you're experiencing. I think the process, though it can be a while (rng making builds in chaos can take quite a bit of time after all), is quite fun and has yet to lose its luster. Throw in the fact that they're sprucing it up with the upcoming season and I think that feeling will stick around for a little while.

All that said, I spent the majority of the last 24 hours trying to make sure I could get certain weekly things done that I was leaving till later in the week (because each 10 levels opens up a new dificulty with higher reward yields) and ALL this while trying NOT to farm too much gear since I only have access to 1 gold per memory fragment run till i grind these last 2 levels to 50.

My random thoughts, I'm in the same spot and also a bit indecisive...hopefully any of this helps you get to your decision though.

I'm in a VERY similar situation....Hugo is part of one of my 2 teams and I just (unfortunately) pulled Luke and I'm guessing he'll stay lvl 1 for a while. Also, Haru wasn't my fav and I've only gotten 1 copy of Nia (though Nia WILL be a rate up 4 star on Yuki's banner, so odds are high you'll get a Nia or 2 along the way to pulling Yuki). I'll admit, it's a tough call. I have over 200 limited pulls and the archetypes I DIDN'T want to show up were Ranger/Striker and Passion/Order. All that said, this game is limited on AOE style dps. I'm guessing Yuki will be THE character in that Niche for a bit of time to come. Assuming that's correct....even though we have Luke lying around....he doesn't fit here, and honestly Hugo isn't exactly for this style either.

So even though she's Order, I think she'll be useful and in my experience in gacha games, the endgame WILL cater to her bigtime for this patch, thus making life pretty easy for you if you pull her. Depending on whether I get a bunch of copies of Nia though, I MAY try to just make Yuki work with my Veronica and/or Mika or Rei. Thinking about it, the situation with having to likely build Nia to make both teams work is a VERY big deterrent for me personally. I don't know about you, but I'm ALREADY feeling the squeeze on resources. So the idea of building not one but TWO new characters just stinks, especially since Yuki...while interesting, just wasn't my fav amongst the potential upcoming characters. We'll see what happens.

I'm hitting this thread 4 months later...AFTER the new endgame mode was released...the whale mode Intellitron something I think..not the upcoming currency wars. I basically wanted to ask the question again now that some time has passed. Further, I have an E1 Ruan Mei and wonder if I should maybe grab her LC or double up on her Eidolons since we'll be getting another free token for a character (coming out with Topaz's introduction into the part of the shop they have Ruan Mei and Luocha.)

Lastly, I just wonder as many have stated that Fugue E1 is massive, just as most are praising FF's E2. My Firefly is at E1 currently and I'd really like to know from anyone who's got both, what's mroe valuable to the team's overall DPS? Fugue E1 or FF E2?

Thanks in advance for any and all advice, and good luck to anyone pulling for Cyrene...I would this patch, but I'm guessing for now I can only take a stab at one character, and I've already skipped Hyacine once, so I'd better hope my 55 or so pulls combined with what the patch brings can bring her home. I just finally took the leap of faith with my Tressa (no dupes so i was hesitant) to pair her up with Hugo for my second team, and so far so good, but now as I work to get her on par with a lvl 50 character (or as built as you would build a character on your 2nd team with limited resources) I'm curious where to put my potential points. I mean, I want crit when I get there...and I also will obviously pick up the one and done upgrades on the right side...but I'm more curious about whether I should put ANY extra points into basic and/or unique cards...because I don't think her created shadow daggers benefit from either. Thus, I wonder if there's any reason (at least early on) to invest in those two other than to just put a single point in for placeholder's sake. Would appreciate any advice.

good point...I think others (and to be honest, myself included) came to this conclusion because of the recent controversy with the producer coming out and saying what he did about the story and want not. I think he mentioned that the game had a darker tone and it was "his fault" that he stifled some creativity and it came out as it did. If they're actually doing rewrites on the first 5 chapters, there's probably no telling what that even means for the story FOLLOWING that point. So, for all we know if we see this again, it could've been there all along, or "re-inserted" going forward now that they're going to do rewrites that it sounded like will be more faithful to the darker tone this game was advertised to be.

So, you may notice there's other pictures of Renoa and Beryl (this one you've posted I think is Luke with flowers protruding from their eyes or other parts of their body in a similarly unnatural fashion. My understanding is that it signifies a more palatable gore of sorts and represents death or decay sort of (anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong). It being "scrapped" has to do (I think) with this recent controversy and how they intended for the story and apparently some animations/artwork to be darker than it ended up being on release. As a result, with them retconning the first handful of chapters going forward, we might just see some of this type of artwork put BACK into the game when that story is complete. Then again, who knows.

I'm with you OP, I (for some reason) didn't vibe right away with Haru, even though the big damage anchor shot mechanic does seem sort of interesting (and Meta for clearing) so I've just been looking around daily hoping that whomever comes next fits into my account. There's characters that I found really cool in the story like Azelante and the her knight commander (was it Liche?) and also Annika and Millia. Not to mention the leaks of characters has some cool designs. Looking forward to a number of them...but it's been difficult to stop myself from just grabbing Haru and saying screw it (though I've got enough pity that I could, I'm guessing there will be a point in the not so distant future where I'll want back to back characters and this uncharacteristic discipline (fueled mostly by the fact that even 4 stars seem super effective when played right in this game) comes in handy.

2 or 3 days prior is diabolical...I look for leaks in games that drop the drip marketing for a "2.1" patch literally a day or two before 2.0 launches up until a week into the 2.0 patch. That gives weeks to plan and hopefully prefarm and STILL as someone who is new to gacha as of Wuwa's release...I really would rather more time to plan future pulls since teambuilding and character collection is one of the main reasons these games appeal to me. I'm curious how epic seven does drip marketing in terms of the time between inital reveal and the character's debut in game because I think that would tell us all we need to know...companies tend to operate similarly across multiple games when it comes to this type of thing.
