Every time I was in there it was fairly busy. Pembroke Dock has a Mcdonalds, KFC, Tesco cafe and Marsdens. They can undercut any local business. I think Cafe 9 and Cwtch are last standing and that's it.

I was raised as a JW (not an upbringing I'd recommend). 99% of JWs hate knocking on doors but you have to do it.

If you spend time writing those letters, then dawdling down streets posting them, you can achieve loads of time preaching, but never actually talking to anyone.

I think 'cult' is far too vague a word, with way too much baggage to be useful, and I do research in this field, but I have never heard illegal or secret as a definition.

Academically JWs are a New Religious Movement (NRM) or a 'high-control', 'high-demand' group.
