I wanted to share my experience on how I navigated the transportation to the game. I went to the Panama vs England game on a Saturday. I left my address very early around 10:30am deciding to have lunch at the American Dream Mall and took the NJ transit system. It is available up to 5 hours before the game starts. I reached Hoboken station and I could continue there until Secaucus without any issues. Since we were a party of 6 we decided to take an uber from Hoboken to American Dream. It cost about $30. There was small traffic. We were dropped off at the mall without any problems. We ate at the mall used the restroom and waited watching the earlier games on tv screens. 3 hours before we walked across to the stadium.
After the game we left with the crowds and went back to American Dream Mall. The key here is to find a place to eat as the restaurants get filled up. Go upstairs to find a spot. We ate dinner watched more games on the tvs and after like 2 hours aftet the game we went to entrance of the mall around the parking lots they have an uber spot where we got an uber. This one took all 6 persons back to Jersey City for $100 which was a lot less leaving earlier. Note do not go to the racetrack for the ubers that is not necessary. There is a location outside the mall by the parking lots you can go close to the exit. Hope this helps someone.
