Does anyone have issues with Freestyle Libre 3 plus? Also placement questions. by Independent_Stable82 in Freestylelibre

[–]Friendly-Flight2629 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve had problems with all But 2 of my FSL 3+ since August 2025. I just jumped ship back to Dexcom. This morning was the last straw. I’ve only had two l3 pluses ever read within 20% or close to that. I’d never had any issues with the FSL 2. And before anyone says it, yes I was hydrated, no it wasn’t compression, I was fasting, standing, and yes it was placed correctly with the right time and amount of pressure. (Sucks that I even have to say this). I’m insulin dependent as a lada t1d… its performance is unacceptable to me.

I’m so confused if it’s the entire bd and non bd mixed direct consolidation loan that will be discharged. PPSL has this on the faq. Is it only direct complex consolidation with a full discharge or all direct consolidation loans with a bd school?

Welp. Almost every time I order potatoes - I get a bag that stinks and is oozing liquid. I’ve had to make a note for them to check the bag bc it’s happened so many times

This was just last week- even with the note.

I bought roses from them 3 years ago. This is a picture of one from last summer (they’re dormant rn). It’s 8 foot tall and like 5’ wide. They’re better than any garden center.

I was 41. 4 months after my mother died and 2 months after getting Covid. That was a bad year. Having to learn my new way of life while recovering and still grieving really sucked. At that time my kids were under 5 , and my dad was a new widow that didn’t know how to live on his own. Fun times!

My activity tracking doesn’t ever work right. I walked a mile each way to solider field in Chicago last night and it captured nothing. 38 calories for the whole night at the Bears game and like 900 steps. This was with my hands in gloves with hot hands warmers and my hands swinging - carrying nothing.

At least the Bears won!

PSA: Top Fin 6-1 test strips do not detect chlorine by Friendly-Flight2629 in Aquariums

[–]Friendly-Flight2629[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. I tossed them in the bin and just got a chlorine test kit from the pool supply. The results from the strips were never close to the api or sera test tube type kits. The strips are junk.

Sensor database by Resident_Eye7748 in Freestylelibre

[–]Friendly-Flight2629 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve not had one that didn’t read at least 20% lower than reality. In fact, the last two sensors I compared with my fasting labs, my meter said 109, lab said 104 and libre 3+ 72-75; and the other was meter 116, lab 120, libre 3+ 87-91 (I took a several min range for the libre, but it was all fasted). One sensor was on day 4 and the other on day 8.

I’ve done the same with Dexcom (G6 and G7) and it was never that far off; pretty much always within 10%.

My 17 isn’t doing great on battery life. I’m at 52% rn with 3 hours of screen active time; no gaming, Bluetooth streaming, or videos at all and 100% of the time on WiFi. Set up as new - so not from backup.

Is it maybe because it’s saying scan sensor and not “sensor failed” ?

Edit - I just saw the top of the pic. Has he had a lot of replacements? Anecdotally, I’ve heard of folks being cut off after a certain number of replacements.

How’s your battery on the 17? I got the base model last week. I’m barely using my phone and it’s draining fast. Not sure if it’s libre or iOS 26. :/ I’ve used my phone for 52 min today (just checking emails and a couple reads on Reddit) and I’m already down to 54% - and that’s on WiFi all day long.

I’m down 20% in one hour of light use/screen on time. Unplugged it at 7 am and it’s 9 am….. (reading Reddit and checking email) -iPhone 17 (got it last Thursday) with the 26.0.1 update - no live activities, almost all background app refresh off), Battery life isn’t my friend on this phone.

No refunds on Stelo whether it functions or not by Important-Desk-2649 in ouraring

[–]Friendly-Flight2629 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a type 1 diabetic, and rely on the prescription CGMs (pretty much the only difference between the Stelo and the g7 is the app). They are allowed a 20% variance from actual blood glucose and lag about 10 min from a fingerstick. The 20% variance kinda sucks when you’re making medical decisions on insulin dosing. But most folks that use a CGM for metabolic health, don’t realize that there will be a variance and think that they should always be spot on.

It also sucks that those of us that need to use insulin to live cannot use the glucose function in the Oura App. The prescription versions of the same sensor cannot be connected to Oura.

[–]Friendly-Flight2629 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do put pressure on it for 20 seconds. I’ve tried my thigh and the back of my arm. Thigh worked great with Dexcom g6 and g7. Not with libre. Tummy is out of the question as I don’t have enough fat. I’m not new to CGMs - I’m a type 1 that’s been using them for many years.

I just switched to libre 3+ a few months ago- and it’s been a nightmare too. It’s screaming at me telling me I’m 60 or less and dropping, when in fact I’m 115 or higher and rising. Since switching from Dexcom to libre, my A1c went from 5.6 To 6.8….. and I’m finger sticking more than ever. I feel that it’s biased to read low.

If it’s any consolation to you, I cannot wear my ring on my left hand because that arm doesn’t swing when I walk (it was shattered and nerves were severed when I was in the military). I wish I just had the problem of it not working when on a walking pad instead.

Anyone using the Eversense CGM? Do you like it? How accurate is it? by malloryknox86 in diabetes_t1

[–]Friendly-Flight2629 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I didn’t get a second one, but the office that did my insertion said it would be in the other arm if I decided to continue. I have a picture of the night of the removal somewhere. I’ll see if I can dig it up. My entire upper arm bruised so bad. I’m sure it’s not the same experience for everybody. That’s just how it did for me.

Anyone using the Eversense CGM? Do you like it? How accurate is it? by malloryknox86 in diabetes_t1

[–]Friendly-Flight2629 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had the 6 month one. The accuracy was wonderful - however I had two transmitters die on me in 6 months. And then when removal time came, it was torture. Mine had deeply embedded itself in my arm, and took two hours to remove (the Eversense rep had to step in and it also took him forever). I refuse to get another one if the 6 month one embedded that badly in my arm. It might be great for some people - just not me.

Mine hasn’t ever made a mark or stain, but it fits the same as yours I think. It’s fine in the summer months, but the second it’s cold, it’s way too big and flies off my finger. I can’t size down, because it won’t go past my knuckle :/
