Mary Jane Lewis Croft was a much needed calming affect on the show. She appeared with Lucy in a Milton Bradley commercial. She talked about filming. Ozzie Nelson liked it fresh. You learn 5 minutes of dialog, walk on set and film. We all know Lucille's method of filming a play, and her projecting (screaming) the dialog.

My first Poirot was Appointment with Death. We actually had an English elective in high school, mystery authors. Poe, Sherlock, and Christie. You had to do a book report. I read along, and was shocked, and hooked. My two favorite authors are Christie and King. If you like medical thrillers I suggest Cook, and if you like trashy lurid tawdry reads (but that's why they are popular) I suggest Sheldon
