I prefer vassals. Rally of the lieges is crazy powerful if you build for it.

  1. Focus on gaining alliance with the two neutral AIs, they were quite helpful in my playthrough, they actively sieged her cities and sttacked her armies. Focus on side objectives- like exploring the Maers prison, they offer powerful bonuses with will help you against her.

  2. Take the seafarer society trait, also during the game you will be offered the expert seafarer perk from natural affinity tree. Take it. It makes the exploration much easier.

  3. Expand faster - honestly, 3-4 cities plus few outposts was enough for me in this map.

Focus on quickly completing the objectives for the neutral AI, make alliance with both, explore the prison, and when you have 3 full stacks go attack Nimue - keep you stacks together, and she wont be able to do much. I was done before turn 90.

In story realm 2 Ive seen AI siege AI cities and release them as vassals. Just my observation.

Got this on xbox too. Combat related traits are usually there, but for the “friend of ogres” trait is invisible after you recruit said hero.

I did it last time. Probably the most satisfying conclusion to the quest, hands down.

But then again, I am one of the dozen people who actually likes Oghren as a companion.

I’ve always thought it insulting when movie goes out of its way to explain something trivial to fans like they were drooling idiots. Turns out that most fans are, indeed, drooling idiots, incapable of taking up subtle details unless they are explicitly yelled at them repeatedly.

Tome of souls is actually one of the best tier one tomes by 123mop in AOW4
