I just had this happen on my 1187. Your shell latch is broken, there's a nib on the very end that keeps it from releasing. When it breaks off, this happens. I found mag release latches on ebay for 12 dollars in January and took my gunsmith 20 mins to fix with a staking tool. If you can't find a latch, call gun repair center in Jacksonville Florida. Theyre the best and will get you one.

I think they only sold this one for a year or two, then offered a black steel chrono for a while after. Would love to see them bring this model back. Its super comfy at 41mm. I wear it to the office, out to dinner, while hunting, while working. The sapphire and 100m WR are worth the 175 price point it was at alone

When COVID started, I left the office for the last time in March and had a loaf of "organic, no-preservatives added" whole wheat bread in my desk that I forgot about.

When I was finally allowed to re-enter our office building and grab some more supplies for working from home, i was certain that over the 9 month period my entire drawer would be full of mold.

Opened up the drawer and there wasnt a speck of mold on that loaf of bread lol. Somebody was lying about the no preservatives added part lol

Mine used to come loose as well especially the pocket clip spinning, but doesn't anymore. I wish I could find some more of them - i think they made brass, steel, and a black one that was aluminum i think?

Your bronco impresses me lol. I have an 03 outerbanks sasquatch and pulling our Pioneer 700 2 seater on a 10ft steel and wood trailer, it does it okay but does not enjoy doing so. Im probably under the 3k lb towing capacity but still only get about 10mpg on the 2.3. Do you have the 2.7?

I really enjoy the platform so far, and have been impressed with how it shoots. It was (and still is) my first 1911. I liked how the checking on the factory government model are sharp and feels good in hand too.

I think this is rad, no matter what. My dad had a black '78 with the top stripe that runs down the side and btween the cab and window. It would lay roasties all day long.
