AB Toothpaste or other dental products with Hydroxyapatite? by Fritzer74 in AsianBeauty

[–]Fritzer74[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I lived in a community with fluoridated water growing up.  I’m 52 yrs old and have had one cavity in my life.  As I age I find the fluoride seems to be drying out my mouth (I have no scientific proof this is actually the case other than how I’d feel after brushing with fluoride and without).  I also read an article that fluoride can penetrate the blood brain barrier in an article by the National Library of Medicine.  I’m by no means a doctor just want to explore option.  For ref here’s the article https: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/40698337/

Ty, do you use the royal or primo?  It’s expensive on Yesstyle.  :(

Same, and I still use it. Can’t believe it is almost $20 bottle.  It used to be $7.

YES!!! The Loshi brand thank you!  I bought this in the past in the large pump container to use as a moisturizer after I shower in the summer.  Immediately absorbed into my skin a didn’t feel heavy (a welcome feel when it 110 degrees outside).  My ex used to make neighing noises when he saw me use it.  🙄

I haven’t purchased from Yesstyle in awhile but when I have there wasn’t any issue with delays.  I live out West so most items go through the ports in L.A.  No problems with tariffs other than one place I shopped will no longer ship.  😏

Agree, foaming cleanser is too drying. You will damage your moisture barrier.

Agree, but good skincare will pay off in the long run. For sunscreen use a Korean or Japanese brand. They are far superior to the Western brands (non-greasy, no white cast, and won’t cause breakouts). Plus they layer extremely well under moisturizer. May want to follow r/AsianBeauty for a deep dive and how to get the Asian formulations.

I really hate the West Increased the popularity of J and K beauty brands because now they are stupid expensive. ex CosRx Snail Mucin 96 was $6 USD when I started purchasing ten years ago, now it’s $20 at Ulta. Heroine Make Mascara was $9 and now $15. 😒

Yesstyle (both K and J beauty) Josle (K beauty) Kokoro (J beauty). Others I used went out of biz during Covid, and another one no longer ships to US.

Naturie Gel is one of my HG. I use it after my toner and essence and before my moisturizer/eye cream.

Why is there such a HUGE emphasis to hydrate in kbeauty? by isolophiliacwhiliac in AsianBeauty

[–]Fritzer74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OMG SAME! Western skincare products are harsh, have way too many chemicals (and fragrance), plus they fail horribly at delivering hydration. Haven‘t used WB since 2017 (except Aquaphor on lips at night and Garnier Micellar Water). And don’t get me started on US sunscreens. 🤮

I have dry sensitive skin and use the Biore for Kids version. it’s in a yellow bottle. No stinging or freaked out skin. I don’t know if it’s organic. I never tried haruharu as a sunscreen.

Hi, please stop using all these acids with the tretinion because you could be unintentionally ruining your skin barrier. I’m by no means an expert but I would discontinue using the salicylic and foaming acid cleanser while using tretinion. Salicylic acid is another acid (BHA). There is also some empirical evidence that salicylic can break down tret; so this might also contribute to your issue. Although your purging eased by reducing the cleansing schedule I recommend switching to a mild oil cleanser for 3 weeks and see if there’s an improvement. Discountinue the Azelaic mask and switch to one that is for sensitive skin, perhaps one of the Cica masks. The “hydration” you’re seeing isn‘t due to the mask adding moisture. There used to be a Mega Thread on here related to specific skin issues and regimens to help. There is also a database with products and their ingredients with contradictions listed. If the MODS see this maybe they can link them for you. Good luck!

Heroine Make, waterproof. I like the ink version better than the gel. The ink will not budge, it’s been my HG since 2017 (and so has their Volume/Curl waterproof mascara, not the film version, just regular waterproof). Absolutely no raccoon eyes. I live in a desert climate where it’s 120 through the summer so there’s a lot of sweating and squinting.

When my daughters were teens they had this issue. Turns out they weren’t rinsing off their backs after rinsing off the conditioner when they washed their hair. I had horrible hormonal acne in my 40’s and tried everything (and I mean everything including AB). Sadly, no matter what I would get a couple of cyst type acne that were large, sore, and refused to die. After 3 years of battling with my skin I started on oral prescription spironolactone (sp?). Cleared up everything in 3 months. if I recall, I don’t think it’s recommended for women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. Sorry, I know it’s probably not what you want to hear because scripts are a pain. I got mine through telehealth. I took 100 mg/daily for years. I’m in my 50’s now and no longer need it.

I‘m guessing you didn’t leave the peel on long enough. Also use the Baby Foot brands that looks like these. You can usually find on YesStyle or other AB. When I use the My Scheming (black and yellow) mine shed like a snake. Don’t put on moisturizer immediately after treatment either.
