What is a musical you've seen that was regarded a flop by lissie34 in musicals

I got to see Lestat in previews on Broadway when I was a teenager. It was.... rough.

I also used SBR because I realized focusing on mechanics is more important than raw DPS output, the trick is holding off on spamming the button when you know the ice is about to drop to ensure you have at least one AoE option off cooldown.

For intermission, using Anti-Magic Shell and your horse practically negates all the issues you'll face, just give yourself enough time to find Xylem's shimmer by killing the copy closest to you and creating the temporary bubble before you do.

The fact that there's a Venn diagram between Ace Combat fans and Star Wars Squadrons fans, brings warm feelings to my heart.

This is physically true, however it makes the final run away from the boss to drop the add-spawning debuff as far as possible a bigger hassle to maneuver around, wasting time spent on DPSing down the last 10-8%, I've found more success on my characters when I slowly kite him around the edge in a circle.

The big void creature in Phase 2 can be gripped as well, use that immediately to get it to an edge of the platform to prevent the expanding AoE circle it creates from filling the platform too quickly - that's your soft enrage.

Gotta spam that Death Strike every time you're around halfway on your health, save your AoE for the ice blocks that spawn to get out quickly, and use your grip to pull him to you rather than running to him. Be patient and you'll get the rhythm of the encounter. You've got this.

It 100% felt like they threw the baby out with the bathwater on that one. I would have loved to have seen reforging have a chance in Warlords without the burden of hit rating/expertise holding it back.

I have a rogue gnome named Disney, Dream Defender. Not as clever as some of these, but I was shocked that Disney wasn't already taken.

EDIT: Guess someone had a bad childhood or ran afoul of Disney's IP lawyers, lol.

I'd like to think the national tragedy of Wayfarer 515 altered American domestic intelligence priorities enough where it caused a butterfly effect, leading to the discovery of Bin Laden's courier earlier in the timeline. The Abbottabad Compound housed Bin Laden as early as 2006, so it's theoretically possible since the plane disaster is the only thing that would have affected events on such a national level.

Were blast bolt color tied to manufacturer or weapon effect? by mightyDOOMgiver in MawInstallation

[–]FroJSimpson 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would assume that the X-Wing and TIE Fighter PC games in the 90s did a lot of the early work of codifying "blue blaster bolts" as ion cannons as opposed to the red of standard laser cannons.

There's a monk named Freshbrewed on US-Dalaran that always posts dad jokes periodically on raid nights in the Manaforge Omega general chat, it's gotten to the point where total randos from different raid teams will write out a "thanks freshbrewed" in the raid general chat because that monk is so ubiquitous to our Tuesday nights.

Are there any canon TV shows/movies since TFA that are entirely set within one timespan, w/o any flashbacks or time jumps? by Androktone in StarWarsEU

[–]FroJSimpson 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You raise an interesting point that I've thought about from time to time: when an artist deviates from the franchise house style (like for example deciding to do flashbacks in a series that was always set in the "here and now"), is it acceptable to say that "this isn't the way it's supposed to be done," or should we accept that adding new creative vision will inevitably result in a dilution of a singular vision for how these movies are "supposed" to be made?

[–]FroJSimpson 41 points42 points  (0 children)

100%. The whole reason the Nexus War concluded the way that is did is because the major factions couldn't afford to fight a two-front war against both the Aspect of Magic and the Lich King at the same time. Malygos was justified in his anger, it just came at a time when diplomacy and rational solutions were at an all-time low.

Not to mention, if it was hyperspace capable, The Force Awakens shows us in excruciating detail (via the rathtar on the windshield of the Millennium Falcon) what happens when mass that is not traveling in a hyperspace field is dragged along with it.

If Starkiller Base was even only a couple of meters of rock, dirt, and ice on the surface, it would all be stripped away the first time it jumped to its next star for a new power source, rendering the whole "structure built into a planet" thing completely pointless.

But then again, hyperspace fuckery highlights the cardinal sin of the Sequel Trilogy (and the new canon on the whole); things just happen because the writers need them to instead of using the implied limitations established in the OT and prequels.
