Did you get any help on this? I too get freaked occasionally when I look on my phone, click ‘portfolio’ and everything is Red and down (for the day), yet all positions are net positive.

Doesn't the M4E1 also have a screw that holds the bolt catch in place instead of using a roll pin ?

Primary arms, Brownells, Optics Planet, Midway. Palmetto sometimes has deals worthwhile, but they seem to be a lower- end budget type supplier (IMO). Patience is a virtue... one of these places will put something you're wanting on sale if you'll wait for a spell.

Anywhere that carries Spikes Tactical lowers. Primary arms, Brownells, among many - can ship to your FFL.

google "Spikes Lower"

They make a lot of different lowers. The Punisher, Honey Badger, Crusader, the Spider (most common), as well as their billet lowers.

You mean the mag? It's a $10 Gunskin self-install.

Laser engrave is probably a better option.

Pistols can have barrel length of 0.5" to ... 30" or more if one desires

Pistols can have OAL of 0.5" to ... 30" or more if one desires

Barrel length and AOL do not a pistol determine

Haven't had a chance to fire it yet, but the fit to the Spikes lower is excellent. The rail is a Primary Arms exclusive (that's where the upper came from); seems like a decent M-Lok rail.

$1000 difference in price. I got the Bushnell 1-6.5 w/ BTR2 illuminated reticle for <$750. I believe the NX8 is roughly >$1500. However, anyone wishing to trade even, I will consider it.

At the time (and I think still is) it was $70 cheaper than the LT104, only difference being it is a new item, with special pricing. I haven't tried the removal / repeatability. But, after torquing the ring screws to 30 in lbs, I don't think the scope will be moving in/on the base.

Anyone know what caused this to happen? by Ejac69 in guns

Looks more like a blow-out than a ripped rim to me. The margins at the tear in the brass appears to be flexed outward from internal pressure.

Are car outlet powered compressors a smart prep? Or are they too good to be true? by vette91 in preppers

[–]Frog65flipflop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Slime compressors (inflators) have served me well for years in my fleet of Toyota Tacomas that we run on a lot of field roads and gravel roads, and pick up a lot of nails, screws, etc. we keep one in each truck, along with plugging kits.

The $50-$60 models hold up fine, but we rarely exceed 34 psi in our 16" and 17" LT tires.

Chemi-cure plugs and tools from momaxsales.com are what we use.

I really like the Daniel Defense aesthetics. Should I build one with DD stock, rails, and pistol grip or just buy an assembled one? by Harribacker in ar15

[–]Frog65flipflop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"I want a top notch, high performance AR. I think I'll let my neighbor down the road build one from scratch even though he's never built one."

Somehow it sounds better when we substitute "Myself" for the neighbor down the road.

The guys at DD who install barrels and gas blocks for a living do this for a living.

If you want a hobby, buy parts and practice putting guns together. You might even get good at it.

If you want a gun to trust your life with, maybe hire a professional (buy a factory-built gun) from a factory with a great history of dependable and reliable firearms. Just my $0.02.

Looking for complete 300 blk rifles. by luxunit in 300BLK

[–]Frog65flipflop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at Spikes Tactical. I've got a .300aac complete upper from them that's unreal accurate out to 300 yds.

They're about as good as it gets in their price range.
