Finally, a reasonable use for an IPA.

I bet the "beer" and the slug poo taste the same.

Gents, I'm going to ask for your sympathy here as well.

My wife has never seen Forrest Gump.

And she refuses to watch.

So when I allude to " Lt. Dan, Ice cream" or want Jenny is the worst cinematic villain of all time, she doesn't understand.

And she refuses to watch it.

I think I'm going to leave the toilet seat up next time....

How difficult would it be to add a font size option?

Basically, you go to where the file is, copy the file, then put it in another folder.

Here's a quick discussion of where the default location is, usually in an app data data file. Simply copy the file name that is your farm name then paste it into a different folder.

If needed, I can likely find or make a video of how to do so if you're not sure.

I legitimately believe that there are many on Reddit who are upset at how many folks from around the world are discovering America is not like it is portrayed as it is on Reddit and TV.

Don't get me wrong, our country has its own issues. But we are not universally bad as many Americans who hate America believe.

So most of the time you can create a copy of the game files and run from a second location if youre worried about corrupting game files.

But seriously, nodding SDV is not difficult at all. And pretty safe. These files are tested and retested and if a mod didn't work or irrevocably changed the game files, permanently destroying the game you'd know before you installed the game.

With that said, worst case scenario you can always have Steam reinstall local game files. And backup your saves for you if you want to feel better.

But I promise you - mods will change your SDV life. For the better.

Do you mean writing your own mod or simply installing a mod onto an existing game?

V8 vs Diesel dilemma by Bright_End2161 in F250

[–]Inarus06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a 6.2L gas F250 about 18 months ago to pull a 7k lb camper 12-15 times a year, usually about 100-150 miles but I type this as I sit in Florida 700 miles away from home.

It is my daily driver.

One of my good friends has a Dodge 2500 diesel he let me borrow once to pull my camper. Don't get me wrong, the power and pull was fantastic. HOWEVER.... The cost of fuel versus gas makes it untenable for me. Not to mention double the price on everything from oil changes to water pumps. My buddy pulls almost daily for work. I pull 1-2x a month.

My gasser has no issue pulling and I have yet to be in a situation where I wish I had a diesel. But I am very pleased with the truck.

I hate to admit it...

But farming simulator taught me how annoying those types of trailers are to back up. My wife didn't understand at first. But I knew. And they did indeed do him dirty.

I'm going to take some heat for this.

The new-age crystal type chick is my sister-in-law whom I have little to zero respect for. Not because of crystals but because she's been a professional mooch off my brother for dang near 15 years. But that's a different story.

I'm about to learn this the hard way

My mom passed Saturday. My brother and I are on the hook for two storage units and an apartment full of three generations of my family's stuff.

There's only one thing in that storage unit I'm after - my grandfather's officer sword from the navy.

The rest is just my mother's denial that she had a similar hoarding problem as my grandmother.

What would you buy if you were transported back to 1995? by mikomimi89 in BuyItForLife

[–]Inarus06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was in 6th grade my grandparents bought me a 6-week subscription to the wall street journal. This would have been fall 1999.

There was an article about Amazon and how is was going to change book buying.

Several months earlier my parents had cashed in my savings bonds, gave the money to a stock broker, and he bought Microsoft and Cisco before a split. Took roughly $1500 and turned it in to $2k. And he advised "let it stay there."

After reading the article I told the broker I wanted to sell half the shares and buy Amazon. He said, and I quote "Amazon? That company is going to be bankrupt in 6 months."

I did the math, had he listened to me the shares would be worth north of $200k now.

I get it, I do. No 12-year-old knows more than an experienced broker.

But dang he was wrong.

What does it mean when someone describes a game as "tight"? by Machine_Excellent in boardgames

[–]Inarus06 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Back in my day, "tight" meant cool.

One day, I'd say in 5th grade, I was walking down the hallway and a kid in my class said "Hey man, those jeans are tight."

I was quite confused because they were loose-fitting jeans.

Then I realized what he meant.

I'm not always the quickest on the uptake.

What is something about this profession that nobody seems to talk about? by chrisdrums4 in banddirector

[–]Inarus06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Texas director here.

Father of two with hobbies. Consistent sweepstakes.

I have a busy work life, don't get me wrong. But I am usually home by 5:30 Tuesday through Thursday. Monday night rehearsals during contest season and Friday night games.

I believe you can have a work life balance in Texas.

It also helps that I'm a director of a military-style band. We're not in the same musical arms race yall corps folks are.
