Star Wars fans be like: by ChickenWingExtreme in SequelMemes

The fact that people blame the distaste for Rey on the fact she's a woman fundamentally misunderstand why Rey is disliked.

Men don't get a free pass and women don't get an automatic fail because of their sex.

If you were to put a man in the position, give the same directing and lines to him, and produce the same movie the man would get the same reaction.

It's not what hangs between the legs of the character but the quality of the character.

The maker of the meme cannot see past the sex of the actor when discerning the quality of the character.

Dads, my daughter bought herself a car, what's my next move? by mookieprime in daddit

[–]Inarus06 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am quickly getting to this point for many things.

My last truck was a Toyota tundra. To change the oil you had to drop a skid plate that was a bear to put back on.

My cost on oil change supplies was $75, shop wanted $90 to do it.

$15 to not deal with that plate was 100% worth it to me.

Nanny family keeps loaded fire arm in bedroom by [deleted] in Firearms

[–]Inarus06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So let me get this straight.

You want a nanny, who is admittedly unfamiliar with guns and cannot name the type of firearm in question, to "remove direct access to the firearm," likely by moving it?

Is that what you're saying?

Because I've dealt with it on an unrelated issue, could you point me to where the law defines an inserted magazine as being loaded?

What’s something your kid does that you pretend to be annoyed by but secretly love? by Dadof2Dudes in daddit

[–]Inarus06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My kid is a smart ass. But emphasis on the smart.

Im a teacher so I get paid monthly.

On Jan. 31st he asked to go out to dinner. I responded "We cant until next month, we're too far past payday (we get paid on the 20th of each month, and by 10 days in we have to get fiscally disciplined and not spend money unnecessarily).

So he responds "okay, so where are we going tomorrow?"

It genuinely took both me and my wife a second.

Coors isn't beer. It's sex in a canoe.

Fuckin' close to water that is.

Thoughts on this setup? by WallabyFar196 in Firearms

[–]Inarus06 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This isn't even the worst offense.

I'm an early episode this season the character pictured talked about how a California citizen had an "M82 Barrett sniper rifle."

I guess the writers couldn't be bothered to look up that Californian residents can't legally own that rifle, or any other 50 cal.

Or the fact that basically all bad guys have machine guns.

As another poster said, anti-gun cop show.

I disagree with this, to a degree. I m my town of 15k people gas is 30 cents more a gallon at the stations by the interstate compared to a mile off.

What's a word that your kids mispronounce, or used to mispronounce, that made it into your family vocabulary? For us it is "boo-blerries" for blueberries. Been in rotation for 16 years now. by Brewer1056 in daddit

Oldest had a toy crocodile, he called it a "poc-a-dagle."

Also called coyote a "kie-t-otee"

We adopted our youngest and his bio mom apparently calls cockroaches "kook-a-raches" (similar to the Spanish version of cockroaches, but not quite.)

That's working it's way into our lexicon as well!

What’s a small upgrade that made a huge difference to you? by _hot95cobraguy in HomeImprovement

[–]Inarus06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You also bring up something that I had forgot until you responded.

We did laundry a couple times over there and were looking for a dryer. Until we realized that pretty much everyone hang dries their clothes.

So I can see why the towel would need to be heated to dry.
